We loved the Maytag for several reasons, the transparent top, the wealth of option, the beautiful style, and equally important - made in the USA. We love it.

It kept breaking down and was very frustrating to set service appointments to fix. I did a ton of research and found these Whirlpool brand family Maytag machines to be fantastic. They are quiet, beautifully designed and I never have any issues. I’m sold!

The design of the washer is great. Loved the colors chosen and the settings looked simple enough. It is a water saver washer, so it took us a bit to figure out how to have the washer put more water without us having to pour in more water. It is possible. However, our big issue was that it wasn't washing our clothes correctly. My sisters and I literally stood in front of the washer and with a light was watching the clothes being washed through its whole cycle (under normal). As the agitator was moving to I guess wash the clothes, the clothes wouldn't move from its spot. The only thing that moved was the agitator (really slowly might I add) and the barrel (it would do one whole spin when the agitator would turn left and then right). It was a brand new washer and we literally were thinking that it might be broken. We didn't want to take any chances and just returned it. The washer could've been better...

Washes queen bedding very well and spin dries to almost dry -- easier on dryer to finish the job too. Nice to see 'inside' with window!

Big washer can only do small loads efficiently

The Deep Wash option will allow about 7" of water in at deep wash no matter what it weighs your load, Maytag customer service confirmed that. AND, that's just for the wash, not the rinse water; no extra rinse option. Clothes come out with every dog hair, every piece of lint glued on. For dark/black clothing this is a disaster because they don't go into the dryer. Dryers fade dark colors quickly so I air dry my black. Terribly inefficient and frustrating. Waste of money
