Over the course of the years l had trying many others wash machine brand, but nothing like this. I love this machine. Wash the clothes perfectly and remove even bad stains. I have 2 young kids and you can imagine how dirty The clothes could be in the end of the day. The machine runs very smoothly and it is energy safety. I totally recommend this washer machine.

I accidentally reviewed the dryer as the washer, but I will repeat what I said here and address the matching dryer. The washer is very quiet and has a huge capacity, and the control options allow easily finding the right mode for anything we need to wash. It is very well made for the money, and gives a very positive ownership experience, at least to date. The same comments could be made for the matching 8.8 Cu. Ft. 10-Cycle Electric Dryer, and we have found that it does a very good job of getting our clothes dry in a reasonable amount of time (something that could not be said of our previous machine.) If there is anything that would detract from the rating, it would be our hesitancy toward digital controls (concern about the repair cost of a failure, and less robustness as compared to mechanical controls that can last for 30+ years), the sloping tops that can dump your clothes on the floor when you are stacking them there while removing clean clothes from the dryer, and the deep drum in both the washer and dryer that makes it difficult for shorter people to reach all the laundry. (The large capacity dictates that last issue, and we decided to go with it due to owning a king sized bed.) That said, we thoroughly enjoy both machines, and would highly recommend both to others. The faults we have seen to date are minor and ultimately did not affect our decision to give them a five star rating.

This machine is amazing. We went from doing 20 loads a week to just 4 including linens, towels and comforters. Do not understand the negative complaints... as our clothes are clean and fresh while saving time, water and money. We did read the directions and use HE liquid detergent...though we have used Norwex powder as well. Also can't say enough nice things about Best Buy!

Great washer. Fits comforters without a problem but too deep for my mother in law and wife to get to the clothes without having to use a step stool.

I love this washing machine. It’s size matches that of my family’s needs. I’m a bit on the short side so I have to find something to stand on or stand on tiptoes to reach the bottom. The dispenser isn’t easy to clean and has discolored due to our rusty water but I have no complaints on performance.

This may be more of an age type of thing, but my old washing machine was around for the past 15 years or so and I didn't have any trouble with it until one day it quit. Maytag has always been good so I bought this one. It took a little getting used to as it has features I've never seen before. It seems to have a small storage area for the detergent that gets almost completely used every time I wash even on small loads. It does a good job though. The one thing I did notice was that it takes longer to wash then my old one used to. It's a bit of a disappointment as I thought it would be faster especially with the ability to sense the amount of water / detergent, etc. that is needed.

It has a deep tub. Handles lots of towels. Runs quietly. I would buy it again.

I was a little worried about my clothes getting clean considering the small amount of water it uses, but I must admit it does the job. Compared to my old washer it holds twice as much clothes. However if your looking for a quick wash, this isn't for you. A full (and I mean full) load of clothes on the normal cycle takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Full load of towels an hour and a half. Thanks okay for me because again it holds 2 of my old washing machine loads. Yes, you can pause the machine to add more if needed. Simply hold the start button down to unlock the lid.

While I do love this washer - I have one callout. With it being so large, I was under the impression I would be able to wash larger loads of laundry at once. I notice if the load is too big, not all of the clothes get cleaned. Often times, some have dry spots when I take them out. I’ve resorted to washing small loads which solves my only complaint.

Don't wash anything heavily soiled with anything else or it leaves a film on everything. The HE's don't wash or rinse to my satisfaction and I'm disappointed with the HE model. I purchased this model because it has the deep water fill setting and thought I could overcome the need to presoak stained or heavily soiled things. I wash everything on the deep water fill setting but I find that there are stains and film left on things. I am disappointed and wish I could go back to regular total water fill / agitator machine. This model is a monster and can handle king size bedding....but heavily soiled bedding and pads must be bleached to get them clean. Buyer beware...be prepared to presoak and pretreat anything heavily soiled. Other than that its very quiet and takes about an hour to complete all the cycles. I bought the matching XL dryer and I'm very happy with it. I buy Maytag because I expect them to last. My parents got 30 years out of their maytag washer and dryer.

This washer does a great job cleaning clothes. The only draw back is the noise. It doesn’t run quietly. If you are looking for a quiet machine you might want to consider another model.

This washer is very quiet and has all the features a person needs. Spin cycle very effective at removing water. Before buying check to make sure you can reach the bottom of the drum as it is quite deep.
