I didn't like having to keep the door open and the seal clean to avoid unpleasant smells, so I went back to a top-loader, only with an impeller, this time. The weird thing with the impeller is it twists the clothes all up together (jeans, sheets, etc.), but it does seem to clean well enough. I haven't had any issues with it not dispensing enough water, like some have stated. It's nice to be able to choose a water level, in any case. I wish the dispenser tray was sturdier than the flimsy plastic they used. Otherwise, tons of features that I haven't even tried yet, but so far, so good. Yay for good old USA-made products! I hope it lasts!

To many out of balance issues

We had previously bought a cheaper new GE washer with no agitator. First one without an agitator. We kept having issues where the machine would stop with out of balance issues. Figured it was a problem with the machine. We returned it. Then went to Best Buy to look at different one. Found this Maytag. We decided to give this a try for following reasons: 1) Maytag Name 2) Commercial grade listed right on the machine 3) High volume capability. 4) Best buy recommemded. Point blank, she said you should not encounter those out of balance issues. WRONG. We would attempt to wash maybe a couple of sheets and couple of towels in one load. Bam.. out of balance. I cannot count the amount of times we have to continue opening the washer and reposition the clothes to just have it do it again. Verify Disappointed. We bought the service, so will call them and see where it goes from there, but no way in my mind should there be this many out of balance issues.

Can start a wash with very little water; clothes feel damp so some water was dispensed based upon weight. Does have a water dispenser inside to concentrate washing or rinsing prior to starting a cycle. You can a download an app to assist in Washing.

One issue we have is however working it remotely. It seems to error when clothes are already in it and we start it remotely.. but when we are home doing wash it’s runs excellent, nice quiet and clothes come out great!

My wife really loves how this washer is really quiet compared to the last one. Look forward to getting the drier that goes with it

Takes up less space than old one but has a larger wash tub! No water remains in the outer tank, unlike the Samsung it is replacing. Does a great job with cleaning and large loads.

I love that you can download the maytag app to control it from your cell phone. This washer has so many bells and whistles. Best bang for your buck.

I expected the machine to stick out in the hallway but it didn't. *Note* Place items along the outer wall for it to not chirp / shake / complain about leveling during spin cycle. My previous machine was opposite (place everything in the center). It's not a huge deal but it will save on washing time. The soak feature is amazing (faucet in the machine is game changer). I use less detergent now also.
