I bought this machine at BB 1-23-20. It is now 12-16-20 and my machine is toast. I was told today by the authorized Maytag repair guy that it needs a transmission. It started squealing about a month ago like an animal being tortured and so loud my four Dalmatians didn't know where to hide. I talked to two other repair guys prior to the Maytag guy and was told by them this machine is notorious for bearings going out 4 to 6 years. The cost is about $600. to repair so they told me I was better off to buy a new machine. WOW! I fully support USA products but is this what you get? Today I was told 5-7 days for the part to get back to Houston and hopefully, with COVID, Christmas, and New Year, and no backorders on that part I might get it fixed in January. How am I supposed to wash clothes for my family in the meantime while waiting? I tired calling corporate four times. Once I held for 44 minutes to no avail. I tried the online chat robot to see if there was any other way to get my machine repaired. The robot told me to go online sorry I can't help you. Great customer service Maytag! Read reviews on this machine not just here but all appliance sources and read the stories. Front loaders leak, top loaders noisy and unreliable. What happened to the Maytag machines where you considered the cream of the crop and not the mediocre machines they obviously build nowadays. There are too many other brands to purchase and most foreign made.

I am really enjoying my new washing machine. It does not jump around and is a lot quieter.

If I could rate a 0 I would. We have had problems with the washer filling correctly especially in Heavy Duty and Bulky Items mode. It will "fill" for about 45 seconds to 1 minute and try to start washing when the items are still mostly dry. We need to stop and restart the entire cycle to get it to work. We had a shirt get destroyed because there was not enough water. The service tech in the area will not come back out because Maytag does not know how to fix this issue. Customer support is constantly giving me the run around. Worse washer purchasing experience ever.

At first I was a little overwhelmed but now the Maytag is working like a dandy.

Bought this in April 2022 had it break down in July… had a replacement sent … that one broke too in September 2022… manufacturing issues, bad transmission that breaks easily is what I was told. Dealing with Maytag/Whirlpool is a nightmare. So far it took two weeks to even get someone out to look at it just to be told that repairing it would take 2 weeks on the low end and up to a month on the high end. Super mad as this washer and dryer was not cheap. Thought I’d get a quality appliance l but it’s garbage. Maytag won’t do anything to expedite anything or switch out the defective machine with another one or a comparable model. Will never buy another Maytag ever!

Don't waste your money! Mine is sitting in the garage as junk. It stopped working within 2 years of owning it. It will cost almost as much to fix it as a new washer. Maytag says oh well you should have gotten an extended warranty

I expected better from Maytag. This machine is a total piece of CRAP. It doesn't fill on the normal and heavy settings...just agitates with no water in it. Its light duty, as in cheap feeling...low quality materials and sheet metal. I hate this thing!! Also...I dont do Facebook or Twitter, so reaching out to someone using those methods wont work for me...Honestly, I think I'd rather just take it to the scrap yard for $10 and never buy a Maytag ever again.

We bought this washer in May 2021 because of the high capacity. It recently gave an out of balance code while washing a load of just 8 towels and has never been the same since. The repairman came out and rebalanced the machine. Tried washing a load of 7 towels and had to remove 2 just to get the cycle to run. A high capacity machine that can only wash 5 towels at a time seems like a joke. This has been one of the most frustrating appliance purchases to date, and that is coming from someone with a Samsung refrigerator (if you know, you know). Laundry now takes twice as long as it should as everything has to be broken up into smaller loads. What a waste.

Broken after 2 years!!!! not a good product. Washing machine maker now a days are poorly made. Bad, bad, bad.

WARNING Do not purchase any Maytag Whirlpool appliance. Mine died after 2 years. Terrible customer service.

This is the second one we bought. Both were " out of Warranty" I feel like they should last more than a year or two. The second one might be 3 years old. It is currently stuck shut full of water and wont turn on. Im so disgusted with this product. Called customer service and they couldnt help me since it was more than a year old. There was a time when Maytag meant something, sadly those days are over.

Bought from lowes. Had to replace the clutch and motor in 11 months. 6 months later the control panel went out. Called maytag but they advised i go fly a kite or buy an extend warranty and keep it for a while to pay off the part. You don’t see the maytag anymore cause he to busy fixing the junk machines whirlpool and maytag make.

This washer takes the award of Worst Washer I have ever had, and its not even close! Has ruined our clothes. Even with the deep fill option selected, there is nowhere near enough water in the tub. This ends up grinding the clothes on the impeller, wrecking the fabric and tying them in knots. Got rid of it after 3 months.

DONT BUY! Dead in 2 years. Stopped working with a full load. ZERO power. Thought it was a fuse or breaker, nope. Called a repair person and he tested, MAINBOARD has died. Service tech quoted $320 parts, and $175 Labor. He suggested me calling Maytag for warranty for the MAINBOARD, they said not covered under warranty. only drum and basket....terrible. Lucky this washer and dryer was free given by our builder in Irvine. I would never buy Maytag, Wife and I would have gone whirlpool or samsung.

I will NEVER ever buy another Maytag ANYTHING EVER. $750 on a washing machine that lasted less than 5 years, that even after having a warranty on, the company REFUSED to fix, citing that the repairs are more than the machine. HOOOOOOOW????? How can a 3 year old machine need that much repair?? Never again!!!!!!

Had this washer 3 months. Now, suddenly, the "Cycle Signal" is barely audible with your ear next to the machine when set on "high". It does toggle through the settings, from "Off", to the faintest of sounds on "Low", to the "High" setting that you'd never hear if you were more than 3 ft. away. When I called for WARRANTY SERVICE, I waded through their menu, only to be PLACED ON HOLD FOR 38 MINUTES BEFORE I GAVE UP. Will try again today.

DO NOT PURCHASE!! I bought this machine 2 years ago with an household of only two people and it already broke , C’ MON!!! (F2-E2 code) on the screen and it is not worth fixing it . MAYTAG claims 10 year warranty but on parts they know it is unlikely to break .

Broke several times for drain issues. Luckily we had the geek squad warranty and they eventually traded it out

Impossible to make a worse machine. A class of kindergartners could engineer a better device than this. Mayrag (spelled it that way purposely) has already replaced one, wouldn't take 3 more for free. I'm going to give the current one to a YouTuber who has some land and dynamite...just so I can watch someone blow it up.

Terrible experience. The product (washer/dryer) has not worked properly since it was delivered. The installation team has made to appointments to assess or repair and in both cases they cancelled because their “truck broke down”. 1 hour minimum each time to schedule the appointment. Find it hard to believe the truck broke down twice.
