    Extremely the worst dryer ever. Had 2 service calls on it & still doesn’t work right. Absolutely hate it

    Performance is great but design has one significant flaw. I wish the dryer door opened either to the LEFT or RIGHT. Unfortunately it only opens DOWN, which means you will regularly have to stoop down and reach in to the back of the machine. For mature adults - or anyone with a back issue, I can promise you this will become a pain point (pun intended) when there's an item (and there will ALWAYS be a stray sock) that is in the back of the dryer. If there was a stand available for this unit - that would help with this issue, but I was told there was no stand available. To summarize, I have NO issues with the performance of this unit, it is the design that I believe will be an issue for mature adults or anyone with a back issue.

    Can't reallly review this item yet. I've received three that were damaged in shipment and the most recent delivery was cancelled due to product availability. Not a good first impression!

    A little disappointed

    This dryer and the matching washer replaced an 18 yr old Maytag Neptune set that never had a repair. The old set had lights in the washer and dryer, and the cycle signal was audible. I ruined the washer when a down pillow disintegrated in it and feathers were throughout the machine. The new dryer is great looking and works well. I was disappointed that there is no light inside and the cycle signal is so soft that I can barely hear it when standing in front of the dryer. The steam refresh cycle does not work well with only one garment. Water leaks onto the floor. Apparently it works well with several garments in the dryer.

    I had a Samsung and had nothing but problems. This machine was an easy install and it matches my washing machine. I am converting all household appliances to Maytag.

    4 year after purchasing this dryer the control panel touch screen died. Maytag wanted $618 for the part. I am not sure why this dryer is rated 4+ but I would definitely not recommend this product. Multiple buyers have reported this issue which Maytag fails to address. Least they can do is offer the part a reasonable price. The dryer goes totally dead as if it has no power but it is actually the control panel that has died. Unplugged and plugged it the dryer multiple times to reset it but it did not work.

    Serious Design Flaw - This Dryer is Junk

    I bought this two months ago. Shortly after it started making an insanely loud metallic noise that filled my whole house. The service tech Whirlpool/Maytag sent said he sees this issue 2-3 times/day, that it isn't covered by warranty and that the fix is likely not going to hold. He then charged $170 and told me it was their design flaw. I made many customer service calls and emails and no one would help. Watch this video and then decide if you want to buy this piece of junk.     Do not buy this product

    I have had this dryer 3 years,, took care of it, and now it does not work. Blows cold air. I have to pay someone tomorrow $175 even to look at it where I live in the Tampa Bay Area. If they even can replace the heating element ( which is probably what is bad ) it might cost so much I will have to buy a new dryer. AND Maytag, says once past a 1 year warranty you are on your own. AND using their "approved" Maytag agent in a major city will take 3 weeks just to get to my home and look at it, so beware if you buy a service contract, not sure it has language that says how quick they come to your home AND those contracts are expensive.

    DO NOT BUY THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

    The first day we had the dryer, water leaked out of it due to an issue with the steam connector. The issue was internal, so we convinced ourselves that we would never use the steam feature and disconnected it from the water source. Problem solved. In the 24 months that followed, literally every piece of electronic equipment had to be replaced: the mother board, the sensors, heating capacitor, etc. Even the door had to be replaced. The only part of our dryer that's original is the shell.... so imagine our surprise when it stopped working again. Consider buying a clothesline and clothes pins before wasting time and money on this specific dryer. You'll thank me.

    Noisy and Poor Service

    Purchased in April, it is now June. Bought 5 year warranty. Have a problem with noises that just started and Best Buy is washing their hands. CALL THE MANUFACTURER. No more business or Warranties. Terrible service. No chance I would recommend. Not a best buy for me.

    This dryer is 3 years old and really has been a disappointment. Multiple service calls to replace a board and address a noise with the drum. Recently the dryer stopped heating. When I removed the back panel to look for the thermal fuse (If this is blown it will not heat) I found more than an inch of lint buildup inside the machine and all over the components. The duct has been cleaned annually so there is a seal somewhere that is allowing lint into the dryer which certainly seems like a fire hazard. I have other Maytag products and as with this item, the quality is just not what I would expect.

    Noisy - Maytag says its normal

    I bought this dryer and the matching steam washer. Washer is great, however the dryer makes a loud noise like a bad belt. Called Maytag (Whirlpool) and they said the manual states that it is a normal sound! I can hear the squeaky sound from all over my house! I had a Maytag dryer for 13 years prior to this one and it was so quiet. I have a service repair schedule so we shall see what they can do. But to hear this is "normal" is quite disappointing.

    Died and unable to be repaired in less than 3 year

    Less than 3 years and the circuit board has an issue and dryer doesn’t work. To make things better they decided to discontinue the part so it’s not able to be fixed. Very disappointing.
