    Went from a front load to this and was not happy. Ended up exchanging for an LG front load.

    2nd Maytag 7.4 delivered - quality poor @ $898.00

    The cycle alert is not very loud. My daughter in law has an older model and the alert is loud enough it can be heard on the second floor. This model you can only hear it if you are within a couple of feet from the dryer. While the GE model I owned previously would sound the alert continue to dry and repeat process 2 more times. This feature kept the close from wrinkling. The wrinkle prevention feature is not great. If you do not take the clothes out immediately after the cycle stops the clothes are wrinkled. Yes I had the prevent wrinkle option on. This is the second dryer delivered because the first one took multiple time to dry the clothes. Hete again a load of towels took close to 2 hrs to dry using the extra power button and selecting "towel option" and max in temperature. The sad thing is I want to stay w iui th an American make product with a goid reputation which led me to maytag but so far not so good

    Forces Basket clean without warning

    It’s ok at washing clothes (and just OK) but every couple of months I put clothes in, add soap, push the start button and am notified that I have to run basket clean and I have to remove all the clothes, run the basket clean and do my laundry an hour later. No warning, no way to do just one load first. Super annoying!

    Dryer worked fine washer was a complete piece of junk. Locked up after six loads

    Improper electric installation

    Unskilled people wiring 220V to Dryer causing short circuit, fire etc. + Sedgwick claims service being hard to reach or complete claim. This horrible situation is ongoing. The machine is fine but dealing with these people has been awful. Horrible installers and lack of communications with Best Buy. Super stressful I do not recommend due to faulty wiring.

    Maytag dryer

    This dryer has a sensor that leaves clothes damp, no matter which dryness level you request. This is the second one I purchased with same issue.... I thought first on was a lemon, had several repairs done and finally Maytag bought it bag. It goes with my washer(which I love), has features I wanted, but is not great at drying the clothes!

    Dryer Dead After Ten Minutes

    We were excited to purchase this Maytag dryer and matching washing...it was delivered this morning...we did a test run and the dryer worked for about ten minutes...then we heard a loud pop...the lights dimmed for a moment...then the smell of electrical insulation burning...this unit no longer heats after ten minutes of use...how disappointing! New replacement coming tomorrow...fingers crossed with prayers...come on Maytag please do not let us down again!

    I returned because best buy has the worse support ever, the dryer never worked, i purchase the geek squad extension but, nobody want to work, phone call always stops during the conversation, chat the same thing, so i return the dryer and bought new on Lowes

    Unit Arrived Damaged

    This unit arrived damaged. It took me over 10 hours on the phone with BestBuy and several days to finally find a competent support person that was able to schedule a replacement. Thankfully the damage doesn't prevent the dryer from working. I've been a Bestbuy customer for 21 years and have never had such a horrible experience with customer service.

    Faulty Dryer!

    Two months down and it keeps shutting off after five minutes- saying drying is complete when there is stil 52 minutes to go. I have to turn it back on and it’s reset to a new dry load. Repeat the same issue. The vent gets cleaned before and after every load. Doesn’t make any sense. Purchased it brand new.

    BestBuy Canceled My ProtectionPlan without notice

    I had to exchange my dryer twice because of defects and it looks like in the process bestbuy cancelled my GeekSquad Protection plan on the dryer that finally works. I noticed it 4 months later. When I called bestbuy they basically said sorry but there is nothing they can do. I said it was done without my knowledge. but still they were not willing to fix it.

    Do not recommend. Keep getting a power failure message, often. Maytag technician said this is normal. I think not. You must unplug then plug back in to use.

    I was very disappointed to learn that even though this washer has a “delicate“ cycle, the only spin option is “medium” —practically unheard of today. My clothes are getting ruined in this machine. Don’t buy it.
