My last Maytag dryer lasted 18 years. So, it was a no brained to purchase another Maytag. I’m not a fan of this dryer. It takes triple the time it did with the last dryer to dry a load of clothes. Doesn’t matter whether it’s towels, or light fabrics. I’m constantly having to run the cycle several times to dry thoroughly. I don’t see how that is supposed to be energy efficient. Sometimes I wonder if they didn’t hook it up correctly. That’s how aweful it is.

That is a big turnoff and one that I don’t believe is apparent in the product description. I’m this day and age that is unacceptable imho.

In fact it may take longer to dry things then my old dryer that was a different brand. Getting it programmed to start a cycle could be simplified more.

Still Waiting

I waited 4 weeks for the initial dryer. I tried to run it and it smelled like something was burning. Scheduled a new one to be installed , and that one was a no call no show,in which I took the entire day off of work from. After three separate phone calls, I finally got word that they were not coming and that it needed to be rescheduled for a third time. now I have to wait yet another week for my new one to be delivered . Awesome Experience!!!

Maytag dryer is all wet

I’d recommend shopping there always. My problem is the dryer I purchased does not dry in one cycle. Does not matter what size or fabric type, it takes several cycles, usually resorting to the highest temperature. I stand for made in the USA, just am disappointed with the lack of function here.

NOISY

The start button is a bit annoying as my previous dryer was one touch and go, this one you need to hold the start button for the 3 second countdown before it actually starts. I would not buy it again

Awful Experience! BEWARE!

Brought this dryer home excited and hopeful. Plug it in, set it up. Throw our clothes in… does not dry… makes “heat” but doesn’t dry our clothes.. Great.. we have a family vacation planned we just have to deal with it when we get back… we get back go to return the dryer.. Best Buy has a 15 day return policy.. WHY didn’t I buy from Lowe’s I regret it. Stayed on the phone with Best Buy on hold forever doesn’t go anywhere.. They tell my husband he now has to go through Maytag… Maytag tells us they can’t schedule anything until 3 weeks out!!!! How this is even acceptable is beyond me. You buy a brand new dryer.. I didn’t buy a refurbished dryer.. and I bought it to use now! I read a few reviews mentioning this problem but I chopped it up to the possibility someone didn’t know how to properly install! NOPE just lemons and poor service!

Clothes are still damp when the dryer shuts off. Guess I’ll have to use the old fashioned “timed dry” and do my own guessing.

Best dryer ever.

Love it, I’m using it as I’m writing this statement.
