I'll give it two stars because it works, but, it's a little over a year old (so out of warranty) and the chime stopped working. It actually stopped within the first year, but, of course, the repair guy said it worked so nothing was done. A month after he left, it died again. Also, the washer will constantly tell me to clear my dryer vent on the refresh cycle, even though I just cleaned it. Only happens on that cycle. Spend your money somewhere else. This is an overpriced piece of junk.

I did everything Maytag told me to do to make it efficient which entailed installing new 4” pipe to replace the 3” I had in my old house and it still doesn’t dry my clothes. I run the loads 3-4 times. They feel dry but the next day they smell musty. I don’t know what to do. I paid almost $1k for this machine thinking I was getting what I paid for. Now I just want to sell it and buy a super basic machine and call it a day. I’ve reached out to Maytag but no one has responded.

This is the worst and most expensive dryer I have ever purchased. I've had better luck with used dryers. We received it in October 2023. In April 2024 we noticed it was taking 3 hours to dry one load. It was repaired and then one week later it wouldn't start. Now we're waiting on another repair. The service provider they sent out has been less than stellar to say the least as they no call no show. Super disappointed all around. I thought Maytag was a reliable brand. I guess I was wrong. Off to the laundromat again.....

No heat Gas dryer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought new gas dryer and was installed end of April 2021. Dryer did not work. No heat. Only air dry. No issue with the dryer vent duct. Dryer vent duct was absolutely clean. New vent duct was installed with the installation of the dryer. BB measurement team came and advised that the motherboard was bad. When the dryer was turned on, the drum rotated and you could smell odor of gas inside the drum. The BB measure team told the burners were not working (solid state igniter?) and lighting the natural gas, and this was why the gas was leaking into the drum. They closed the supply line shut off valve for safety. Returned and exchanged for another brand gas new dryer. Thought that the primary function of a cloth dryer is to dry wet clothes by heated air.
