This looks to fill our current needs. Hopefully it will be a long life reliable unit, but that remains to be seen.

Not very accurate-just a dial. Door latch is flimsy. But the price was right and it works well. Easy to install.

Definite waste of money. I purchased extended warranty through Best Buy and when I called for a service, they said the first year of owning I had to go through Maytag directly. Maytag warranty is not any better to deal with. After a period of time, a Maytag service tech came over to service my dryer and ultimately said that the style of washer and dryers (referring to those made in the recent decade) are not made to last more than 5 years or made to work like models made years ago. The area that captures the lent does not properly pull out so you can actually remove the lent. It actually rolls the lent off the supposed lent catcher and stays stuck in the dryer and the coil that attches from the dryer to the wall of the house. I literally have to move the dryer, remove the coil from the wall, and stick my hand in the coil to remove the lent at least twice a month. I've never been so dissatisfied with a washer and dryer in my entire life.

The digital features on the “higher-end” Maytag dryers was horrible in my experience and that’s why I ended up settling for this one. You would think with it being “commercial-grade” it would have better drying time.

The first time using my new dryer: I put a small/medium load of clothes in the dryer at 11:30pm, set it to the normal setting under the Sensor Dry, thinking it would shut off within an hour or so. I ended up waking up at 3:00AM and noticed that the dryer was still going! The clothes were hot, so I am not sure why the dryer didn't shut off. I will be following up with Best Buy to determine whether I can get a tech out, or if we need to just return it for a new one.

The matching washer is great but the dryer itself is questionable. I don't know if it was damaged during the delivery process or if its the quality itself. It shouldn't take 2 to 3 times of resetting the dryer heat until my load of laundry is dry. Especially a brand new dryer it should dry with only one dry setting. Over time this can cost me more in my electric billing to make my clothes stink if I'm unavailable to reset for another dry bc my clothing is still damp. I'm totally completely disappointed until I either get a refund or a brand new replacement that works.
