Fire hazard

After about a year, all of the strings from hoodies or sweatpants would get stuck between the drum and back wall and either ruin the strings or leave black marks on them. So I had to dry them in garment bags. After every load I cleaned the lint trap. Apparently, it didn't matter. Last night, January 17, 2022 it started on fire. Luckily, I happened to catch it early and was able to put it out before anything else was damaged. I will never buy another Maytag dryer again.

I would expect the dryer to handle the load I washed & for it to dry with one shot. I have to run the dry cycle for 90 minutes up to three times to get a dry load. Extremely disappointed!!

Stop Heating after 3 months

The dryer stopped heating 3 months after. Best Buy Totaltech refused to fix it or even send someone to check it out because "they have an exception for Whirlpool when being on the first year of warranty, " which they didn't mention when I purchased that dryer WITH TotalTech for avoiding to be involved with the Maytag support. I'm completely disappointed with both Best Buy and Maytag.

Engineered to last a year and a day

Dryer has always been kept on low heat to prevent heating element from going out. Only lasted 18 months until it stopped drying. Not covered by factory warranty. Don’t waste your money on Maytag. Built to break after one year warranty is up.

Does not Dry

My old 15 year old dryer did a better job. I wish I could return this, I will be looking into the warranty because no way something is new should be this bad

3 cycles to dry a load

They were great and lasted me 15yrs. I don't know if different companies carry different models and I somehow went from a high end Maytag to a low end one with a weak heating element or what but this one does not cut it. Buy Maytag, just not this one at Best Buy.

Not great

We had issues with it ever since we first bought it a year ago, but made do with it since we needed one. We've cleaned out the lent trap, and thoroughly cleaned the ducts, and it still won't work well and is now overheating badly. I will never get this cheap dryer again, and now have to stop using it so I don't have a fire. I feel like I would've had better luck buying a cheap used dryer than this cheap one.

Maytag was a dud dryer

It took two sixty minute cycles to dry a small load of laundry. The saving grace was Best Buy’s Totaltech membership. Made a call , picked a different dryer they delivered it and installed it within 48 hours and only charged me for the difference for the higher priced dryer I picked.

broke in just a few months

As of March 2020, it is no longer working. Started making a horrible noise and then the heat quit completely. Unable to get help from bestbuy because I didnt purchase their warranty, in addition to the manufacturer. So, now I have to call the manufacturer for help! I am still paying for this stupid thing!! All I got from bestbuy is a phone number for manufacturer!!
