I’ve tried every load size (small/medium/large) and at every temperature setting and it’s always the same - the sensor thinks the clothes are dry and shuts off. The problem is the clothes aren’t dry. I would say that happens about 98% of the time. You end up wasting more time checking the dryer every 15 minutes because it shuts itself off. Before this dryer, I had a 30 year old Kenmore that I never had an issue with until the belt went bad. I’m disappointed this new dryer actually can’t do the one simple task of fully drying a load of laundry.

Checked for any loose items and it appears the drum is coming apart from the assembly. Maytag customer service must be govt run because it is poor and takes forever. Do not for any reason buy Maytag products. I returned my Maytag washing machine last month after it still didn’t work after multiple repair attempts. Stay away from Maytag. And whirlpool. The parent company

Slow to start

You must keep your finger on the start button for a while before it starts. Dries like a dryer should.

Posted .If you are getting heat in the Dryer, but are still having longer than average drying times, this is usually the result of a kink or clog in the venting. If you are using old venting with a new dryer, you may want to pull it out and check. If everything looks good after checking the venting and you are still having concerns, you can email us at [email protected]. Poor Washer

Came back an hour later once it was done. Discovered that some of my sheets didn't even get wet. So what to do... I researched online and discovered that many other people have the same issue with no answers available. This sucks. I spent lots of money on these two crappy things. This is not the first time I have had issues with the washer. My advice: Don't buy it until Maytag resolves all the issues they are having with this model.

Thank you for your review. It is normal for there to be wet spots on items that have been through the Washer as the model has very high spin speeds. We recommend loosely balling any items washed and placing them around the outer edge of the tub. We manufacture several different models with various feature and accessory designs in trying to provide Washers that not only meet increasing government restrictions on energy and water usage but will be versatile in meeting the needs of most users while still providing the best performance in the industry. More useless garbage from Maytag

What a mistake it's been. The washing machine is forever going into emergency shutdown mode and the dryer is just as useless. The energy save mode ensures that after a 2hr drying cycle, the clothes are slightly less damp than they went in. So we have to use the non energy saving setting and it still delivers damp clothes. This thing is appalling. We're cutting our losses and throwing it away.

The button must be pushed multiple times and often will not start. Additionally, the clothes do not come out warm and dry. They are somewhat damp and wrinkled. There is also a smell that the dryer leaves on the clothes even after multiple weeks of usage.

Dryer is a Lemon

After that, it stops running after 5 minutes and provides an NP indication. I had two electricians check my house electrical system from the ground, through the breakers, and to the plug. No issue was identified. Called LG multiple times, and they identified that the unit was receiving too much current, even though the breaker set-up is standard service. Best Buy will be sending someone out to do another check of the unit prior to my returning it.
