Paul Reissue of Mccartney II not bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really excited when I heard this and the original Mccartney were being released as part of the ongoing Paul Mccartney Archive collection. Last Year I got the three disc Band on the run set and it was great it also included a dvd at only a few dollars more. This time this option was not given you must get the two cd set or the much more pricey book cd/dvd collectors set around nintey bucks to get the dvds. I purchased both Mccartney and Mcartney 2 in the two disc version. When I first read the back of the cd I was excited because I hadn't heard of half the songs, but thats not always a good thing. The first time I listened to this album I had mixed feelings it really doesnt sound like other Mccaw albums partly due to alot of eightys type synth. Still this is a must have for any true fan. On disc one look out for the original version of comming up(there are also two other versions here?) and waterfalls. My favorites were on the xtras disc though Blue Sway with orchestra and Mr. H Atom. Experimental yes, more so than any other solo album of his. But still a few scattered jems make for a fun hunt.
