Love the box but the remote that came with it was junk from the time I took it out of the box

Best Buy is selling poor quality products dressed up with legitimate company names. When the products fail they tell you ther is nothing they can do to help you. I purchased a Dolby Audio HOMEWORX converter box in July and it has failed already. As I researched a little more it was made by a company called Mediasonics. Mediasonics has a fake phone number. When I finally reached a store manager all she said was “ Mam there is nothing I can do”. DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY. If you make a purchase do so with a credit card so the credit card company can reverse the charge. The sad part is they don’t even care.

We got this so we can cancel our cable TV and stop paying AT&T $150 for the same channels.

Works well but had some issues viewing channels. Returned and got another one which was cheaper, worked better

Works well with 32” tv and in small room, hooks up easy.

My purchase was seamless online and fast pickup. The product itself worked flawless from the start with easy installation. As a Vizio owner, I definitely recommend this to other Vizio owners.

Complicated. Storage of the records seem to be an issue.I decided to return.

Have an analog tv. The converter I had no longer is working. Replaced it so I can take the tv anywhere In the house since the other tv’s are hooked up to cable.

Works pretty good .. great to use to cut the cable. Sometime issues with syncing voice with picture, but easy to reset. Overall I would recommend this product.

Can I return it to u. U refund me when recieve? It doesn’t show all programs not good picture.

I did not use this because I could not use it. You need an externally powered HD. Nowhere in the instructions or information on the website does it tell you this. I found out when I received the box and read the information on the box. I e-mailed the company and they were timely in their response to me. They told me what I needed. But relying on the information on their website, I had already bought a Hard Drive. It was not externally powered. I had to return both to the store. I bought this for the sole purpose of recording and playback on a digital TV without internet. Since I did not use it I can't tell how it performs.

So far it’s doing exactly what I needed! Using it on a Vizio E-series tv so I could cut the cable. Now I can watch local channels without having to pay for cable.

Does not work with usb 3, I have bought 256 gigabytes and returned it

Works great now I can watch "Burns and Allen" at my convenience Also so allows me to watch channels that are not digital ( my "smart" TV only sees digital )

Love the fact that it can even record shows plus that it has an expandable memory slot ( USB flash drive to be exact ) .

I have a different system. The Mediasonic was a fraction of the cost. But, it seeyto work just as well as the other one. Small and compact.

I return this product because I wasn't for sure how to work it.

My boyfriend wanted a DVR to record his shows on local channels and i was told this was a good DVR. First off it does not come with good instructions and it was difficult to set up. Now that we got it set up, there are no instructions on how to watch the recorded shows. Very disappointed!!!

I purchased this item as an over the air digital video recorder along with a required flash drive to record. Quite simply put it doesn't work. I have gone to the Mediasonic web site and found no useful information there, I have checked the web for information and couldn't find any useful information there either. I have called their phone number and only get a recording. Specifically the unit gives me the "no disc detected!" error message when I have the flash drive connected. I have gone to the USB Icon in the menu to try to resolve the problem with no success. Again the flash drive is not recognized. If this isn't problem enough it takes up to 30 seconds for an action to take place after you hit a button on the remote and many of the buttons don't work at all.

Device helped me convert an old analogue tv that still works great into a digital receiver. Good to keep things alive!
