Great price and great idea and I like the fact that there is not monthly fee but this takes too many steps just to record, and the remote control feels very cheap. I only used it once. :-(

Bought this for use with over the air HD tv signals. Could use some extra features.

I bought this so that I could record shows that I receive using my digital antenna. It does a good job of that. It was not difficult to set up, and it was easy to learn how to operate it. Now I’m able to schedule recording of a show at a certain time and watch it later at my convenience. I recommend this device.

We were looking for something to record one TV show while watching another. We rely on an Antenna only. This product is fantastic. Records to a flash drive. Easy to operate. I couldn’t be happier.

The box is OK but I was told it would record. It does but only on a USB drive. Not what I expected. Also I was very disappointed that I even needed the tuner box. When buying the TV the box is on, l made it clear to the sales person that my priority is being able to watch public television. He sold me a Vizio smart TV assuring me I did not need a tuner box, just an antenna. I then found out I did need a tuner box so I had to go back to get it. I also found that I can't add new apps to the TV. I am very disappointed in Best Buy over all of this. I have bought several computers and other products relying on Best Buy sales people. This is the first time I have gone wrong doing that. Now I have two Vizio TVs I am very unhappy with.

The tuner does a nice job for the price. Remote is poorly designed, but works with my Harmony 700 remote, which is designed well. Tuner can only handle one task at a time due to being a single tuner, but antenna signal can be set to pass through, allowing you to use your TV tuner to watch a different channel while the Mediasonic is recording something else. The Mediasonic’s ability to pause live TV is also a great feature.

Fairly easy to use. Use it to record over the air TV and drop the Dish.

Easy to use. Got it on sell for $29 and it was a great but. Picture is crystal clear and remote is easy to use. This is for older tvs and you must have an antenna to use it. It gives you a guide and program name so you dont have to guess what show you are watching!

I "divorced" cable years ago and only watch over the air shows on the major networks. Recording my shows on an analog VCR became too challenging with HD TV and this DVR has been a blessing and an alternative. When I have it set correctly, it can record one show at a time and usually up to 8 hours on a flash drive.

I have a Vizeo Flat--screen 4K Smart TV; and it had all this size & clear quality picture..... but no Internal mechanics for the antenna hook up for the Local channels. I had to purchase this converter box in order to get basic channels. Now I just need to find a good strong antenna to get all the Channels, that the hard part!!

Having issues with recording remaining active during a timer recording session and a record button session to my 1TB external hard drive. I've troubleshot as much as I can. My first test worked and now it does not. I ensured the channel was preselected before the recording started. The HD is in working order away from the unit.

I brought for an old tv .I figure I'll get a better picture.It was hard to set up.You need an hdmi for easy set up.But you need to buy your own. You still need an antenna.Just buy a smart TV and done.

Slotted into my home theater well and worked as soon as I reprogrammed the channels. Sadly, it did not integrate automatically with my wireless home theater remote, so I will still have to call Geek Squad to get the remote reprogrammed. Still, it has been a good fit at a good price!

This is a lot cheaper and better option than other antenna dvr's. I like that I can use my own external hard drive( just need to make sure to format it first). I wish it had a better guide to look up shows to make it easier to record and know what's on. There needs to be another option to record. There is only once, daily and weekly. The downfall with these are if you want to record something m-f there is no option for that, you have to record 7 days a week. For the price it's worth it.

Works well for recording tv shows but can be intimidating to use. It definitely can be a challenge to use, but gets easier as you become familiar with the process and the multiple buttons required to set and use functions.

I wanted a DVR to record shows that I couldn’t catch when they played live, and this has been the solution for the low price it cost. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the expensive ones do but it works just fine for me.

Love it. Able to record ota programs when we are not home or after we are asleep. Instructions were a little odd, but got used to them. The product suited our needs. Glad I purchased it.. staff person helped me with my needs.

Got this for my mom so she could have a channel guide on over the air hd stations since her 2014 LG tv did not have a guide built into it. It also enhances the tv picture through it also, overall made her happy.

HAS GOOD RECEPTION OF CHANELS AND FOUND MORE CHANNELS THAN PREVIOUS UNIT. ON MANY PROGRAMS THE SOUND DOES NOT SYNCHRONIZE WITH THE PICTURE. THE REMOTE HAS A SMALL TARGET ON THE BASE UNIT FOR IT TO WORK.
