I have tried 2 different earbud devices in the $100 price range (Sony and Samsung). Neither were satisfactory. There were many "drop outs". with either earbud set. I tend to think that the problem lies with the transmitter but this idea does not seem to consider all of the factors.

Wireless connection

MEE Audio Bluetooth transmitter
