won't stay connected

Next day I was walking around in the house and the sound just quit, tried another speaker on channel B, no sound. I finally connected via phone jack to known good source , no sound. Lasted about 2 hours total.

While the sound was clear, there was no way to adjust the volume. Geek squad told me how to return it for full credit
