It is working good and easy setup. The only hangup is that Sony products never seem to work with other company's equipment. Case in point, my Monster neckband headphones work with this but my Sony neckband headphones don't work with this. In the past, I have similar problems with Sony.

The MEE Audio Bluetooth adapter works very well. It has great range, and I've note had any problems linking headphones to my television using it. It worked so well, I went back and bought another one!

    Good Bluetooth transmitter

Good Bluetooth transmitter. My wife is a little hard of hearing and this is saving my hearing. Instead of having the TV volume at levels painful for me the MEE transmits the TV sound to a set of Bose headphones for her and I can either listen to the TV through its speakers or use my sound bar. The MEE Transmiter can transmit to two headphones or in my case one headphone and TV sound bar. The only problem is that it occasionally becomes unlinked to the sound bar if I haven't used it for some time. In fact, I'm thinking about buying another for our bedroom TV.

Here are notes I wrote while using my new MEE audio Connect Hub: I discovered today that my 2008 Sony Bravia’s optical out works fine, so long as I’m sending a sound source (like from a DVD player or computer) into the TV. The TV antenna/broadcast signal won’t exit the optical out into the Bluetooth transmitter but will exit the analog L&R audio out to it. (I subsequently (*after I wrote most of this) found some forums that explained why, and why the TV’s volume control can’t control the the audio signal exiting the TV’s optical out. Sony customer service certainly didn’t know anything about this as shown in a chat transcript I saved. I should have printouts of each). So I left both the analog & the optical lines plugged into the Bluetooth transmitter respective line-ins. **I have the passthrough analog line out from the transmitter to my analog stereo system & can simply press the transmitter’s analog/optical mode button to toggle back and forth between optical (for when I I use the Bluetooth headphones with anything besides the TV antenna signal) & analog (for when I want to listen to TV through my Bluetooth headphones or listen to anything through the speakers via my analog stereo system). [**This analog passthrough setup is ok, but I figured-out a better way. I don’t need to pass anything through the Bluetooth transmitter. I can simply keep the analog audio out RCA L&R from my TV connected to my stereo & unplug the 3.5 mm plug from my TV’s headphone jack anytime I want to listen to the TV broadcast (or any other source (like computer) going through my TV) through my stereo system’s speakers and my TV’s speakers. (Set-up in my Sony TV’s Audio Options are as follows: Speakers/(select TV or external speakers): Speakers Audio Out/(select volume control source): fixed (though sometimes I prefer variable)) ] If I get a house, wherein I can get (& loudly play) a surround system with optical in, I can run the passthrough optical line out to said digital system. (Written earlier than *above): *I also noticed that the TV’s volume control won’t control the volume (& that the Bluetooth transmitter’s volume boost button can’t boost the volume) when the Bluetooth transmitter mode is toggled to optical connection, unlike when the Bluetooth transmitter’s mode is toggled to analog connection. In my analog wired connection to the transmitter, I found that if I sent the analog audio signal out from my TV’s 3.5 mm headphone jack (which mutes the TV’s speakers), the volume in my Bluetooth headphones was louder and fuller-toned than from the TV’s RCA right & left audio out. The device’s Bluetooth transmission range as stated in the manual (which MEE Audio’s 1-626-965-1008 customer service person said was because of its antenna), is much longer than/doesn’t ever drop the signal unlike when I’m using any of my other devices that have Bluetooth transmitters in them (like my computer & smart phone & Bluetooth speaker). All in all, despite some of these maybe 2008 Sony TV set-related inconsistencies, this is a great product. Addendum. When I later paired a 2nd Bluetooth receiver with the MEE Audio Transmitter-Receiver, there was more lag between voice and video than when just using one Bluetooth receiver with it. The 2nd Bluetooth transmitter/receiver I used (model SK-BTI-018) specified in its manual that it was atpX codec-ready in receiver mode; but unfortunately, the MEE audio Connect Hub’s codec indicator displayed SBC instead of atpX. This was still the case when I un-paired the other (not model SK-BTI-018) and just had one Bluetooth receiver paired with the MEE audio Connect Hub. So I’m looking for a compact Bluetooth receiver I can plug my (light headphones into) that is indeed atpX or atpX LL-ready.

Plugged it into the optical port, muted the tv, turned on the unit and paired with my bluetooth headphones, used my cellphone volume control to adjust the volume in the headphones. Pairing is not remembered when turned off so you need to pair again. Not a big deal for me. Has its own internal battery that lasts through the night. I keep it plugged into a portable battery pack to keep it charged.

The MEE audio Bluetooth transmitter is very cool and extremely easy to set up. It can accept multiple inputs, like digital or standard apeaker output from you TV or other devices. It works great with the Bose Quite Comfort 35 headphones.

I bought this having tried other brands and this one works without a hitch. It connects easily, last a good amount of time per charge, and sounds fantastic because it uses bluetooth technology. It comes with everything you need to connect it to a non-bluetooth device, so you don't need anything except a charger. It uses any simple usb phone charger and can be left plugged in while in use. So far, it's been working fine for several weeks. I like that it's just a transmitter only, because less can go wrong with it. I've read some of the other reviews and the negative reviews could just be unfortunate defective units. Considering this thing is made in China, it's expected to have some defective ones in the batch but if you're lucky to get a working one, you won't be disappointed.

This transmitter makes listening to cable programming via Bluetooth speakers easy. When desiring to turn TV volume down (or mute it), yet still hear a cable program from across the room with a Bluetooth speaker instead, then this transmitter allows such. Tapping an Up or Down arrow on a speaker could be easier than grabbing a TV remote-control and pressing its volume buttons -- all while busy working in the kitchen. Or, tune-in to your favorite cable channel (or recorded program), then listen while puttering about, or while others may be napping. This transmitter does not require any battery or recharging. And this gadget is conveniently small!

I would like to thank the young sales associate that help me figure out how to listen to my tv via a Bluetooth headset while having sound comming from the speaker. This was very important to me as I have hearing loss and needed to listen via a headset to the tv while giving my wife that chance to listen to the speakers.

This little audio transmitter is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about it. All you do is plug in an optical audio cable from a device like a cable box, an XBox system, or Roku player. Then pair the device with the audio transmitter, and you're done! I bought Sony over-the-ear headphones, and they paired immediately with no problems. I had at first purchased some Amazon earbuds, but could not get them to pair with the audio transmitter. That was aggravating. But this device is great. It let's you listen to your programs as loud as you want on your headphones, without disturbing others. I highly recommend this device.

Expensive, but unlike most Bluetooth xmtrs, you don't have to do everything with one button by holding it down for different APPROXIMATE periods of time and looking for certain combinations of flashing blue and red LEDs. There's a button for the first device, and one for the second. You press the first one, wait for it to pair, then press the second button and wait for the second device to pair. A light comes on, solidly, to tell you when each pairing is successful. It goes out if you shut off one of the devices. Most Bluetooth transmitters are like setting up an old digital wristwatch. This is easy. Also has almost no latency.

I have an older TV that does not have Bluetooth, I hooked this to that television with Bluetooth capable earbuds and it works great for at night. The other nice part about the system is you can control the volume separately through the earbuds and leave the television volume turned down. The next day if you want to watch television with the speakers you just turn the volume up so you do not have to go into the menu of the TV and turn the speakers off and on. Very compact design very easy to set up , it plugs into USB port on the back of your TV. Then you pair a set of Bluetooth wireless headphones and you’re set to go wonderful value works awesome !

I recently bought this to watch tv late at night and not wake up the mrs. I pair it with some b&w p7 wireless headphones and wasn't sure what to expect because my bed is 15' from the tv. I thought I would have some dropouts but I never have. The sound is perfect for tv and allows me to hear my movies at a nice rumbling level without disturbing the lovely lady. I can't say enough about the quality of sound I'm getting and it even allows you to pair two headphones at a time. This guy saved me from some unsightly wires and late night reading. Thanks to best buy for carrying the things that other stores don't!

Having a roommate has been rough when we want want to watch different shows on the two TVs in the living room. With this Mee Audio bluetooth transmitter I get to reclaim my peace and quiet without busting out the wired headset I use for gaming. I give this 5 stars. Its amazing. Features worth noting: - pairs to two headsets simultaneously. - has a internal battery. So it can be used on the go without the usb cable. - comes with an aux cable, usb and an spdif audio cable. - no audible delay. - great sound. The cons: Like all things bluetooth it doesnt work great through walls, but unlike the options ive had in the past i did make it into my bedroom 30 feet away before it disconnected entirely.

My Father is 81. His hearing is less than optimal, to say the least. With this device, and a set of earbuds with a very crisp high end, he can now hear dialog of his golf games. Also, it has the capability to connect Bluetooth, AND enable the TV volume to be separately controlled. One of the best sound system devices I've purchased!
