Customers are saying

Customers regard the RoadTrip 61.6" Tripod highly for its sturdiness, light weight, and the convenience of its monopod conversion. The tripod's compact size and reasonable price are also appreciated, along with the smooth ball head; however, some users have experienced issues with the leg extension mechanism.

Bought this tripod to use for a film that I was doing. I had my Canon 5D Mark IV on it and it held up well. However, the ball on top of the tripod did not hold up to well and started to slip when I had the camera on a vertical profile. Would only use in landscape profile. Also, carrying this with other gear becomes a pain. I would pay more for a lighter tripod.

Works well. The ball head needs to be easier to tighten. Great for those long hikes in the woods.

Great travel tripod for heavier gear.

I am a fan of Manfrotto products and have a full size set of their legs for work that doesn't require hiking as they are heavy at 6.5 pounds. I had looked numerous times at their befree tripod and never pulled the trigger. I just saw the new Mefoto road trip last week at the MOA Best Buy and had to get one. The ball head is so fluid in its movement and tightens down with authority. It is rated for 15lbs and I believe it, the one leg removes and becomes a monopod and the tripod has a very useful ballast hook for adding weight and stabilising more. Also came with a nice fully padded bag, and spikes with a wrench for uneven rough terrain. It is made in China but doesn't feel like it. It's honestly nicer than the Manfrotto befree. Yeah it's 2 bills, but your gear was or ably quite a bit more, and if you do landscape and low light or time lapse a good sturdy rig that only weighs about 3.5-4 lbs is great!

This was my first tripod so can't really compare it with others. I didn't get to use it much as the one I got was defective so had to return it. Not sure if it can hold the load capacity as advertised. I ended up buying MeFOTO globe trotter which to me seems a lot better than this
