I love my Portal Smart Video! Here's the following reasons why: * I can do multi-tasking (e.g.) doing and folding my laundry, preparing dinner while chatting with my friends around the globe! * With Portal, I can still receive a call on my phone without hanging up from video chatting.

Sometimes a little slow, could be a network connection issue though.

Easy to set up and to use and allows you to move while you talk.

Really enjoyed upgrading our home assistant to a Portal from Facebook. Besides the usual voice services, the integration with Alexa really opens this device. We enjoy music from multiple services all while enjoying pictures from our facebook feeds - and the occasional call to grandma and grandpa. Well made, great quality. Needs a few more native apps, but that is coming. Good value.

Bought this as a gift for my family to contact other family members and have FaceTime with one another I have a son who just turned 3 and Grandma and Great Grandma is enjoying how fast he is growing

Good value, large screen and good for Facebook chats

Mother in law loved it. Quick learning for minimal technology savvy

Easy setup, easy to use. Got it for my 90 yr old mother and she uses it daily to video chat. Had issue with setting up photos for screensaver but used online help to solve issue. Would highly recommend for video chatting to keep family in touch with elderly parents.

If I can give a 2.5 star review, I would...but I will be nice on my review though. After having this device for over a week, I ended up returning. I wanted to primarily use it for live streaming events that was focused on live music performances. The audio quality is really bad, although the video recorded fine, it was just unusable audio. In a non-music environment, this device worked well, but I did not like the fact that this had to constantly be powered and plugged in to an outlet, so it was not as mobile. Another issue I had was that I could not launch a scheduled online Facebook event. Also could login as a different profile of which I have multiple profiles on the same account. So, for this feature set of this device, it is very standard and lacking lots of features. I ended up getting an iPad with Facebook installed and I am able to do the live events.

Good for keeping in touch with granddaughter during epidemic.

The bigger screen and volume is nice for seniors. My parents like it a lot. The problem is that if the person on the other line is not using a portal or if they are holding their phone vertically instead of horizontally, the picture appears small on the portal.

I purchased two of these. One for my parents for Christmas and a family friend. I thought this would be a great gift since they are staying not spending time with family and friends that much due to Covid. They loved it!

We bought one of these for both my mother in-law, and my mother for Mother’s Day. They love being able to video call with the grandkids. The portal surprisingly works great on my mother-in-law’s internet which is very poor. What a great way to stay in contact with family!

The best gift I have ever bought I bought this for my grandma so I can video chat with her . I love it , and she knows how to use it. My grandma is 89 years old and she loves how she can call her family that live in different states .
