Does what it is supposed to just fine

A friend of mine had one and after I saw it I decided to go for it. This device was not meant to be the "be all and end all" smart watch of the future. I think it was meant to compliment your mobile phone, particularly inn situations where pulling out your phone every three minutes would be rude and unprofessional. With the phone on silent, you are notified of phone calls, text messages, emails and the like (I get the Fox News alerts). Gives me two days worth of calendar info, time, weather, battery time left on the phone and many other pieces of information depending on the apps you set up. Exactly what I needed.

    Lots of potential

As much as I'd like to give this 5 stars, there is still a lot of room for improvement here. I've paired it with an iPhone 4S, and it is pretty good for simple functions such as letting me know of an incoming call, text message, calender event, or even Facebook notifications. However, it will only remember the last function. There is no way to scroll through past info. For that, you need to take your phone out of your pocket. A full charge for the watch lasts several days, but bluetooth being activated on your phone is a bit of a drain on it. Though not totally ugly, it kind of reminds me of one of those old calculator watches, given what it does, I can overlook this...... maybe 4 stars.

I have Pebble, and Smartwatch2. Needed a smartwatch I could take with me to the pool or beach and I like geek stuff. If its your first smartwatch its ok, but if you want better and more application choices then wait or get Smartwatch2. Most likely will return Metawatch to store today.

I returned this product the same day I purchased it! The craftsmanship was poor, the buttons were very loose and did not function at times. The Bluetooth LE was less than perfect when connecting to an iPhone 5S. The device would not connect even when the phone was right next to it. The "backlight" for the display is a single small light at the top of the screen - not very useful, for anything. The screen has poor resolution and has odd black marks when in direct light. They should pay you to purchase this product, no where near good enough for a $200 price tag with poor construction, poor connection and poor display.

After having the Fitbit Force and returning it, I was looking for replacement and stumbled on this Smartwatch now sold at BestBuy. Read the reviews and was intrigued. So with BB's return policy decided to try it out. VERY PLEASED. Easy set up and connectivity to iPhone 5S with great features on the Metawatch that were recently added in January and Feb 2014. Has a Steps Widget to track steps using iPhone 5S function. This was a surprise feature I did not realize was available with the watch. Has four screens you can scoll through to show different info from iphone. You can even customize the screens to get calendar appointments (another surprise to me). The Call, Text and Email Notification works fast and silently. Shows you the last five of these items [mixed depending on which came through last]. Having to keep free Metawatch app running on iphone for text and email notification might be a battery drain issue but not needed for call notification. Screen can be read in most light situations but sometimes can be washed out if there is a white ceiling above. Actually works best with a little reflective light. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Great Concept but plagued with issues

Basically when it's working properly it was nice because it showed you who's calling, it showed you text messages, weather, Gmail, Facebook updates and more. HOWEVER...... None of that is good if it keeps disconnecting and freezing. I did everything update they have, tried everything and it froze a lot and disconnected a lot with both my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & 3. I finally gave up because not only did it do that but it completely screwed up my. Note 3. All kinds of issues with my text messages not sending it receiving properly. Losing data where the phone shows 4G. Once I removed the Metawatch and rebooted my phone all the issues went away. So.... My advice is spend the extra money on the Samsung Galaxy Gear.

Simple connection to my iPhone. Easily customizable to have what I want displayed without delay, and ALL of my iPhone notifications are displayed if I want them to be. Even silly notifications like it's my turn to play a game! (I turned that off, but still pretty cool). I find myself glued to my phone at work and at home. I have my phone with me constantly and pull it out of my pocket/jacket/bag constantly when I hear it... I've only had the watch a little more than a week, but it's already a relief. Just glance at the watch when I hear the phone ping, and decide if I want to respond, etc. impressed many people at out family Christmas gatherings because "the workaholic" was able to leave his phone on the ledge as we walked into my parents. They probably didn't know I was able to keep a little eye on what was happening in my world on the other side of the house from my watch :-) I do wish I could configure which notifications cause the watch to vibrate. Maybe I can figure out how to change those, but haven't as of yet. Recommend it for professional use and play alike. Nice to have in meetings. We also got my 12 year old nephew one for Christmas, and he loves it!! Was playing his music from his phone/jambox set up he got for Christmas controlling everything from his watch. Pretty cool.

    A nice basic smartwatch

I had bought one of these to keep up with my day-to-day activity tracking and while it did work for that, it was limited in what you could actually see on the screen with the iPhone. The screen is very visible in sunlight, but it felt like it was something that belonged on an old-school gameboy and not connected to a smartphone. Had the screen been higher res (256x256), I feel this wouldn't have been as limited as it was. Still, a good smartwatch for those that only need a basic smartwatch.

My MetaWatch is like my smart phone...after a month of wearing it I find myself asking what I ever did without it. It's perfect for me and my busy lifestyle. MetaWatch, where have you been the last few years?

I love never having to pull my phone out to see who's calling or to read a text. The watch feels like a real, solid watch and not a toy. For a bonus, I can leave my phone's ringer off all the time now - the world is a more peaceful place :-)

I bought it based on reasonable reviews(not sure how genuine those reviews), however to my disappointment it was very limited to features compare to Samsung gear with extremely hard to read display specially indoors.

Nothing smart or neat about this watch, telling me I have an email means I still have to pull phone out to even see who it was from. Not many apps to sync with. Just a conversation piece really. Returning soon. Had high hopes for this one.

Locks up and you must connect to the charging clip (which is another terrible feature). Mine freezes 4 times a day so I just quit wearing it. Customer support is a joke. They tell you to update the software but there has been nothing new since February.
