Not the best solution but it works

For my scion frs the instructions asked me to dremel out certain parts and remove material, I was not expecting this but luckily I have a dremel. In the end the pieces were kind of flimsy but it works, even though it doesn't line up flush with the face of my alpine ilx-w650
