Customers are saying

Customers value the Ground Loop Isolator for its ease of use and straightforward installation. Many find the price to be reasonable for the performance it offers. However, a significant number of customers have reported experiencing unwanted noise even after using the isolator. Some users have also noted a perceived reduction in bass frequencies, sometimes requiring adjustments to their audio settings.

Probably not the unit's fault. There were other issues to solve.

Installed a Pioneer DEH-80PRS and a Boss CX600 amp. I was getting the dreaded speaker noise. It was a constant whine. Did not get louder with turning up the volume on the head unit or when the engine revved higher. Turning the gain higher on the amp did make the whine get higher. After reading reviews about this situation and how some people tried grounding the amp and head unit in more than a few different places and result was the same I decided to try a ground loop isolator. Don't care if it's considered a band aid fix until the source of the problem is found. This worked perfectly. I went to best buy tonight. Went home and pulled the rear seat down. Disconnected the rca's from the amp, connected them to the GLI and the rca's from the GLI back to the amp. Started the car and the noise was completely eliminated. What a relief. This was driving me ( Expletive to the max ) nuts. Ran the power to the amp separate from the rca's and had a good ground. I will buy another when I run new speaker wire to hook up my rear speakers to the amp. Right now they are running off of the head unit.

Quick solution to a bad problem.

Didn't use this for car audio- needed it for a pro-audio PA job using an in-house amplifier (in a conference center) with a bad ground. We couldn't connect anything to the in-house system without a very loud 60Hz buzz, and they only use wireless mics because of it. Had to hook up a computer for presentation audio, and taping a mic to the computer's speaker wasn't a good solution. There was a Best Buy just down the street- so picked one of these up (I remembered them from a previous car audio install several years ago). It did the trick- no buzz at all and audio sounds great now. It saved the presentation. The only "negative" is they don't keep them out in the retail area- you need to get them from the car audio installer bay if you are trying to pick one up in-store. It took me a while to get someone who knew what I was talking about. I know they are handy for home theaters with multiple amps on different circuits as-well.

We had a stereo installed in our Mercedes Sprinter van and it sounded awesome except for the whining noise that followed the RPMs. I spoke to the installation shop and he said it was probably because our old center channel was still installed and had old wiring. Well, removed that and it was still there. We had taken the van back a couple times but I didn't want to bother the shop and I personally have done installations before, just didn't have the time to do the full install this time. Long story short, I picked up 2 of these to use with our 6 channel amp. I didn't bother putting any on the low pass channel as I didn't hear any feedback from the subwoofers. After installing these, the whine was completely gone. Nice clean sound! I've only had them in a short time, so time will tell if they last but the initial impressions of this are very positive.

I had an old receiver that was producing static/humming from the headphone line out. I put this between the headphone line out and my headphone's 3.5mm jack and the static/humming disappeared (a few male/female conversion adapters were needed to connect everything).

Great and worked perfect to isolate the tv signal. We connected the audio out from a tv to the PA system and had a lot of extra noise along with a 60hz hum. This isolated the signals.

I bought this after doing research on why I’m getting a buzzing sound in my USB digital audio recorder In my small recording studio. I hooked it up and left the grounds disconnected. I’m very happy with the sound quality and there’s no more buzzing! I saved a significant amount of money by using this product instead of having to buy another USB digital audio recorder. Thank you!!!

Worked as intended, bought a cheaper version on Amazon that did not solve my ground loop issue. Works well to on Polariz RZR with ride command to get rid of the Mag ride interference. Used in conjunction with a 900 Watt 5 channel amplifier

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

I recently got a used Mazda 3 and quickly realized that I get a buzzing sound when charging my iPod while playing it through the OEM AUX port. Inserting this device between my AUX cable and the AUX in, the buzzing sound is completely gone. I do not notice any degradation in sound quality either. The only downside is that I'm using standard 1/8" AUX cables and this isolator only has RCA jacks on it. So I had to pick up a couple of 1/8" to RCA adapters.
