And unusable at night. I read the bad reviews before i bout it and i should have listened. I will return it and buy something better somewhere else

Very poor product.

Shoddy workmanship, poor visibility, and a blank screen when backing make for a pathetic camera. I only purchased it because the Alpine camera I ordered NEVER ARRIVED. After 3 trips to Best Buy I agreed to “try” the subject of this writing. I am returning it, having been to Crutchfield and received outstanding service. I will not shop at Best Buy in the future.

Works Great

The picture is crisp and colorful. The camera does a great job of assisting with trailer hook up and the wide angle helps backing from parking lots lined with other vehicles.

This is my second one, going for a third. They work great for about a year, and then just die. I suspect water is getting into the case and then freezing -which breaks the internals.

cord to short for minivan

According to the BB tech installer, the cord from my head unit wasn't long enough to go along my Odyssey to the position for the camera. Had to order another w longer cord and schedule another install.

Poor Visibility tilting

This camera is not good because it does not tilt enough downward to see bumper when parking. Had to swap it out for a different camera that was drilled into the trunk so the camera can view the bumper.
