I believe they charged me $20 bucks for the part which is well overpriced.... take your receipt to customer service and have them price match amazon and get it for a fraction of the cost... I believe my price match was 7.99 at the time... do note that the item needs to be sold and fulfilled by amazon directly to get the pricematch

Makes installation much easier

If you are installing your own and want to save a few bucks, don't do it by skipping a wiring harness!!! Regarding this particular item, everything works , so not much else I can say.
