Saves you from having to hack up you're wiring harness. so you could go back stock if you wanted and you don't have to try to identify all the speaker wires etc.

The sales person told me I would need this to install my stereo, but I didn't. It was the same as what was already in my car, so I just cut & spliced the wires from my car to the wires from the stereo. The only way you might need this is maybe if you've never had an aftermarket stereo put in your car, or if you've had many different stereos and the wires are too short to splice. I'm just putting this out there for anyone attempting to install a stereo for the first time like me, you may not need everything they say you will, so open things carefully and save your receipt!

The color code worked great but the instuctions were a bit confusing. The connector should have come with wire connectors. I choose to soider mine too ensure good connections.

The website indicated that this was the adapter I needed but it was not. The website did not even have my year of car. 2000 Chevy Blazer. I returned it to a store and they provided me with the right part.
