I purchased the wiring kit at the same time I bought my new Kenwood GPS receiver. I like my wiring to be clean and neat, soldered and shrinkwrapped. You can do this but the alternative at Pep Boys is far better. You get an end that plugs directly in to your vehicles factory harness, then you get a plug that fits your stereo mfg. the two ends plug together in the middle with a common plug. no soldering, no mess and your done in less than a minute with better than professional results.

Did the job to get my new sound system installed and working.

This product doesn't fit the Ford excursion as it says it does. Has to cut all the wires from the original connection and hard wire for my factory DVD player to work through my radio.

No problem, installed fine with other components needed.

(2000 Ford Explorer) This kit only worked for my stereo harness, the amp cable didn't fit (white cable in picture) and is way too small. I don't have an amp and sub right now but this is going to be a problem when I get one in the future. I would of returned this product but the return policy had expired by the time tried to test fit it.

Thought this was plug and play but saw tech splicing wires together

Everything was plug and play with this a little wiring needed but pretty simple

Best Buy recommend this for my Mach 460 equipped 2003 Mustang. While it works, it appears to be the cause of my head unit not working the best. Sound is distorted and it pops/kicks like a speaker wire is loose. If you have the Mach 460 go with the Metra 70-5701 instead.

Husband put it in but did not know there was another wire to connect.

Doesn’t make the Mach amp system operational in my 2002 mustang

I still do not have the head unit, hope it’s in by 5 Jan for install. Purchased as gift and I did not expect to take over six weeks to hear if it’s in or not. If not the headquarters will hear from me, I was in electronics retail for 40 years it this is not satisfactory to me. Hope I hear something soon from someone in management.....

So, I read the box like 100 times - it specifically said "2000 Ford Explorer". There's nothing in this kit that fits - in any way, shape, or form - a 2000 Ford Explorer. I took it back, and when returning, there was actually someone in the car audio area (finally!) that looked up the product that actually did work. It was not on the shelf, seemed like something the installers only had.
