Not absolutely necessary, but why not use it?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So you don't absolutely HAVE to use these wiring harnesses, but I just can't think of a good reason not to. They really speed up installation time versus trying to wire everything in in the dash. Just make sure to get the correct harness (most likely you'll need to get a store associate to get it out of the back for you - it's probably not on the shelves in the showroom).
