Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by Metro Exodus's stunning graphics and immersive story, with many praising the game's atmosphere and open-world exploration. While some found the controls and ammo management challenging, the positive feedback on the visuals, narrative, and action-packed gameplay outweighs these concerns. The game's sound design also received significant praise. However, a few players noted issues with shooting mechanics and occasional performance hiccups.

Where to start... graphics are stunning. The start of the game is breath taking on 4k xbox one x graphics, the water droplets rolling down the screen / your radiation mask. The scenery and surroundings are just amazing looking! Blown away by the game since it came out on xbox 360 I have always been a fan of these games and I knew I wouldnt be disappointed. This game takes the metro series to a whole new level with 4k involved. Story line is amazing along with every other aspect of the game no complaints so far...

    When can I trade in?

This is the first of these games I have played. I saw the trailers, watched gameplay and read about it and it seemed really interesting. After playing for a few hours I was really left feeling like the game was incomplete. It goes beyond the few times that it glitched and I had to reload a previous save for the story to advance. The controls are clunky to say the least. You move incredibly slow, get caught up on bushes, logs and rocks and let’s not talk about the rowboat. The shooting mechanics are also very poor. Auto aim is nice when it actually works. Mostly you are shooting at air and the throwing knives have a tendency to never land unless you are standing within melee range. Speaking of melee attacks, they basically don’texist in this game. Although the graphics are nice at first glance when you start to move around more they end up being very choppy and for trying to create an ultra realistic experience (literally have to wipe your mask off when it rains) when it comes to executing people or shooting point blank with the shotgun there is almost no gore. Just a blood splatter and a fully intact body left laying on the ground with no evidence of damage. Lastly I could not find any of the story very interesting. Maybe it’s because I never played the other ones but every time they have a meeting and talk about missions or events it drags on and I find myself looking for a skip button.

Average FPS wait for bargain bin

An average FPS buggy upon release with boring sections and a lack luster story. Guns are okay but bland. After getting past the intro and downloading patches the game holds up for patient gamers who are okay with a slower story and gameplay. Survival horror with some big fast paced gun battles when fighting soldiers, mutant encounters are boring or average at best.

A great single player experience that is hard to find nowadays with all of these hybrid-type games. You do not have to have played the predecessors to play this. I barely played the first Metro and did not miss a beat.

Unplayable - Nonstop Freezes. Avoid like plague

Bought the game. Physical Disc. Installed XBOX one X. Game is unplayable. Freezes at random points during game play. The game doesn't crash where I am booted back to the initial startup screen. The XBOX doesn't shut off from overheating. It just freezes. I can still access XBOX menu etc. If I restart the game sometimes I can "play" further than the last freeze, sometimes I can't. Avoid this game like the plague, especially if you have an XBOX one X. There is buggy code and there hasn't been any fixes for this. Read other reviews - This is fairly common. Google -> metro exodus xbox one freezing.
