The game is fun and very challenging. This special edition set is neat, and comes with a steelbook case for the game, but I wish it also came with the regular casing like foreign versions of this set does. The five art cards it includes represent Metroid, Metroid II: The Return of Samus, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Dread. All side-scrolling Metroid games. It would be nice if the cards had things printed on their backs, but they're still nice to look at. The art books also features images from those games.

I haven’t played the game yet, but I already know it’s going to be amazing!!! But when I got my package, opened it and saw this item. I was like, this is amazing!!! It was SO much better then I thought. I’m so HAPPY that I stayed up in order to get this item. They sold like hot cakes. Got the Amiibo set too, that’s for another review. But other then being special edition, this game looks amazing and the items that come with this are just priceless. Thanks Best Buy, for allowing me to be able to get my hands on this amazing item.

Amazing game. Very fun and nostalgic. Loved the steelbook and hardcover art book this came with as well, very much worth the money.

Metroid Dread has been one of those elusive games most fans never thought would see the light of day. As great as the game is, I still think the hype and mystique surrounding the game overshadows it. It is a very fun replayable game and you and your whole neighborhood should play it because it’s just so good. It’s not perfect, but it does a lot of things right like classic Metroid. I would easily replay this over Super anyday.

Whether you've been a fan or are just getting into the series for the first time, you won't be disappointed. Metroid Dread illuminates the classic 2d side scrolling gameplay into a smooth and dynamic adventure. Its dark/ominous themes blend with the narrative almost perfectly and creates an unforgettable ending. Makes me think of Fusion all over again. If you don't mind spending the extra cash, the contents of this edition are more than worth it if you enjoy the game/series!

A lot of goodies for decent price. Nice embossed Samus on front of box and brilliant colors on back cover. Be aware sadly this might ship in a padded envelop so corners of box can be nicked and creases/wrinkles formed all around box. Content inside still should be ok and in collectible condition though. Games itself is challenging, no easy mode, and theme/intense action gameplay might not be for kids. The Amiibos will help by providing extra health and ammo, but only once a day after initial boost (though can trick system clock to use whenever needed before a big boss fight, just change to next day while game is still running in background).

Metroid games are all great. This one is a very welcome addition. The special edition is so nice.

Very difficult game. Best side scrolling metriod in my opinion. Be prepared to lose a lot.

Metroid Dread is an amazing game. Honestly the best game I’ve played on the Nintendo Switch. The graphics are great, the controls are dialed in and the story keeps you wanting to know more. This game like earlier Metroid games has a high replay value because you’ll want to go through and play it over and over. The deluxe version comes with a large art book, steelbook, and art cards which is nice for any Metroid fan or collector.

Amazing update to the 2d metroid franchise. It has the graphics and presentation pulled from the 3d metroid prime games but the classic yet upgraded gameplay of the main metroid series. Great exploration and discovery. The sound design is excellent. The added horror elements are more about suspense than being scary, sometimes irritating but never too disruptive. Boss fights are tricky yet fair and very rewarding.

Metroid Dread is a fantastic game and this special edition is really sweet. This 2D action title on Nintendo Switch is filled with great level design, tight gameplay, a solid soundtrack, and a terrific sense of empowerment, as you navigate through planet ZDR. Controling Samus Aran is a breeze and utilizing her robust powers against bosses and the like, is a lot of fun. Game of the Year candidate right here!

This package is fantastic, as is the game itself. But I will focus on the package. First, the box it comes in is much larger than anticipated because of the full-size artbook. This is a very well-put-together piece that you can proudly display on a coffee table. The art cards are neat but with slightly limited use. And the steelbook case is lovely. If you can get your hands on this edition, I highly recommend it.
