This is a very good metroidvania game. I love how crisp this game runs and most of all Samus is an awesome character to play as. This game does not hold your hand so IF you DO NOT like hard games DO NOT buy this game. This game is hard. In addition, this is the second time best buy sent me a limited edition game that was damaged. I wish best buy could do something about this...

It's nice to have more Metroid games. Performance is mostly solid.

I feel the hype for this box set is warranted. The Art Book alone is worth the extra price. It also comes with a steel book and art cards. Only problem, having nothing to do with the game or content, but with Best Buy shipping. They sent in an envelope and the box set came damaged.

Absolutely phenomenal collectors edition, especially at the price point of 90 versus the usual 200-350 for any Xbox or PlayStation collectors editions. The art book is best in class, and the art cards are a great nostalgic touch.

I'm sure there are many reviews praising this game, and I completely agree. Definitely a great story and great challenge. Also, this special edition is gorgeous, especially the art book. Highly recommend if you are able to get it retail. Please don't purchase this from a scalper.

Great Metroid game. I really enjoyed the combat/gameplay. Exploration can be frustrating at times, but it’s similar to previous Metroid games. Collectors edition is nice, but only includes the steel book case and not the regular which is disappointing for collectors.

This special edition by Nintendo is great. A big art book, steel book and art cards are enclosed inside an embossed big box showing off the characters from the game. Unfortunately Best Buy decided to ship this in a bubble mailer and the outer box got destroyed - definitely one of the main attractions of buying special editions. If you can get your hands on one do it, just not from Best Buy.

The coolest collectors edition i've had yet to own. I have not opened this collectors edition, as i'm a huge Metroid fan who enjoys this series. SO it feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity to say with confidence that I own this piece of history.

Great game, a return to what made the series good. Controls are solid. Gameplay is challenging but beatable. Storyline is a bit of a mess, but it's hardly a deciding factor in the game's enjoyment. The CE goodies are fantastic.

An outstanding traditional Metroid game. This game plays just like the classic side scrolling Metroid games. It feels very polished, has a solid story, and provided a moderate challenge. I highly recommend it and am glad to see it getting attention.

Great game. The added difficulty compared to past games was a nice touch. The boss fights were more engaging since you couldn't just mindlessly blast away. Metroid sound design is top notch. The packaging on this Special Edition was very nice as well.

After waiting for what seems like forever, we finally have an amazing 2d Metroid game. I'm still playing through, but this game is perfect. Lots of exploration, great enemies, and great powerups. Also, the art book and cards are awesome!

what a game super hard and great all at the same time. one of the best collectors edition also in a long time. The steelbook is nice looking and the journal and cards are a nice addition. Metroid for switch is the game to have right now

I love Metroid. 2d gameplay was a blast. Controls were tight. Maps were fun. Sound design was some of best on console. Graphics impressed. Boss fights challenging but not impossible. Emmi was tense and not over used.

I am a HUGE Metroid fan, so obviously this special edition was a MUST have for me. I was so impressed with the packaging, let alone the interior contents. The steel book is amazing and I proudly display it on my Metroid shelf.

Box looks great, the steel book is amazing, the art book is a great nod for those fans who followed the series or have been waiting years for this game to release. The game is short, but very exciting. It’s a little more linear like Fusion, but it’s fun, and if you’re invested, a little scary at times. Please don’t buy this product from resellers.

One of, if not THE, best Metroid game released. Super fluid, excellent sound, visuals, controls. It's the total package. The extras that come with the collectors edition make the price well worth it. Track it down if you can

This is one of the best switch games if not the best Nintendo game I’ve ever played. So glad I got the special edition because the art book is one of the nicest special addition add ons I’ve seen in a long time.

This game was a fantastic addition to the lore and franchise as a whole. This Special Edition version pays homage to all the previous titles, and Metroid Dread itself was a fantastic game to play through.
