The game really shows its age. If you didn’t play this when it originally came out and have fondness for it, I don’t really see the appeal.

It sucks !! Dark gloomy dark and have to make device setting extra bright . Very little explanation , have no idea what I have scan - Throwing the game out the window.

Control set up unneccessarily difficult and counter intuitive. Feels very basic

I wasn't sold on playing the original Metroid Prime again as the 2nd in the series is my favorite, but it has been about 13 years since I've played a Metroid Prime game. I took a moment to think about what makes Metroid Prime an excellent game. And for me, it comes down to how they don't make you wait through a big intro to play the game. They just throw you into an easy beginning area, and give you some powers to show you the game. And then, they take those powers away and basically set you off as a weak version of yourself and let you figure out how to get those powers back. This is a perfect remaster, because it looks how you would remember the original and it holds up due to the gameplay being perfect when it originally came out. Yet, I forgot how much time had passed and how old the original looks now. Also, the updated controls are nice. If you've never played Metroid Prime then I think this is a great time to start. Also, if you played it 20 years ago, now's a great time to revisit.

Didn’t like the game, wish it was a bit different.

Simply put, this was an amazing game in 2001. I couldn't believe the upgrade to the visuals that this game received. The love and care is so evident! Plus Retro added so many different ways to control this game. I prefer to play with the new Dual Stick control scheme with gyro controls enabled! It plays like an absolute dream and it is a dream come true to finally have Metroid Prime on a modern console looking this amazing! It is a must buy for every Switch owner out there! Please do so!

loved this game when it came out on the gamecube, and now the remastered version looks so good and runs well.

Imagine writing a 1-star review because you wanted a game so bad you are angry because it sold out and can't wait a week or two for it to be back in stock. Pretty sure you are supposed to review the actual game, people! This game is called Metroid Prime Remastered but it should be called Metroid Prime Remake because the graphics are all completely redone. It's one of the best looking games on the Switch hands-down and was already one of the best games of all time before getting this remastered version.

This was the first game that got me into the Metroid series. Playing the entire trilogy and the older games leading up to Dread made me appreciate the Series as an awesome, explorative FPS and Action/adventure platformer. Get this game if you haven’t already!

Amazing remaster. This is exactly what a remaster SHOULD be. Highly recommend this for players new and old to the series. This is a must have for switch BY FAR!

Game is good, arrived in a timely manner and undamaged

It came on time! Which puts them light years a head of Amazon. Every pre order from them ( 8 in total ) all super late one over a month late!! Second pre order from best buy and both on time! I will be doing all my pre orders from best buy. How ever they need to work on their packaging.. the game its self is fine but case is damaged and ripped cover as a collectior that bothers me alot but i really wanted to start playing rather than wait on the back and forth just for a new case/cover i just kept it. As for the game if you are new to metroid its a good start. If you played this on game cube you will be very happy you can tell they did this remaster with care and not just a money grab but for love of the game.

One review here blames Nintendo for not producing enough copies of the game, but the problem is all the people buying up copies then reselling on eBay, Amazon, and other sites charging $70.00 or more. Nintendo will replenish the supply, so be patient, and do not buy a copy at a inflated price. Make sure all the people that are upcharging for the game get stuck with the extra copies they scalped.

An excellent remaster of an excellent game. Metroid Prime is one of the best GameCube games ever made, and it’s great to see it get the glow up it deserves on Switch. The game still holds up incredibly well today, especially now that there are more control options available.

I like how another reviewer reviewed the game and complained about stock lol. That is notna review of the product and the review get deleted. Anyways. Game is amazing. 10/10
