I love this game. It feels so good to play and looks incredible on the switch. They updated the controls and it is incredible to have dual stick controls in this game. I wish they could have included other games in the series but I am happy with the game we received.

We'll worth the $40. Metroid Prime managed to perfect the transition from 2D to 3D for Metroid games, on the first attempt. It was a great game 20 years ago and still is. This version is more than a coat of paint. It's a completely updated version for modern GPUs and dual stick controllers.

In short, this is a gold standard of how to do a remaster. Upgraded textures, audio, controls, added bonus items in the menu. Game runs great. They did add another difficulty, hard is still behind a completion, and they reduced the difficulty of normal a little bit.

This game is packed with fun and adventure. One of my favorite games on the Nintendo switch.

This is no cash grab — this remastered game is great with upgraded visuals (over Gamecube and Wii versions). Also, the controls are improved and match modern standards. Don't pay scalper prices due to availability. This is not a limited edition and stock will be replenished.

This is not an HD port, this is a complete remaster from the ground all the way up. Modern controls, beautiful visuals, do not pass on this game, specially if you never played any Metroid Prime.

Such a great remaster of the classic Metroid Prime game, definitely worth playing, especially on the Switch 2 for first timers, enjoy your few jump scares!

A must-play on the switch. The updates and life improvements in this version make it the best version to play. The modern controls and graphic improvements make for a smooth 60ffs game play.

Great game never played it until now and it blew me away

I played the original on GameCube years ago and was looking forward to the updated graphics. I had a lot of fun playing the game and was pleased to see that they completely rebuilt the environments and textures and updated the controls for the Switch.

Metroid Prime is one of the definitive GameCube classics and is still widely cited and used as an influence in Adventure games today (Star Wars: Fallen Order for example). This Remaster has set the bar for remasters. It is 60FPS in both docked and handheld mode. The lighting quality is amazing, shadows are also incorporated to a level that looks next-gen for a remaster. Music has been remastered and didn't do the typical 'just make it louder' like a lot of remasters these days are guilty of. Gameplay has had a ton of quality of life features added such as the ability to move and shoot at the same time, which makes Prime feel fresh, even for it being over 20 years old. I have bought Prime on each platform it has released on (GC, Wii, Switch) and will definitely say if you own a Switch you absolutely need to own this game.

Metroid Prime was and has been my favorite Metroid game of all time. This remaster with the updated controls and graphics holds up as well as it did over 20 years ago. If you haven’t played this game, then buy it as soon as you can! It won’t disappoint.

I haven't played this since its Game Cube days. I must say Nintendo have outdone themselves. The updated graphics and control schemes are stellar. I truly hope Nintendo does the same with the other 2 Prime games. Fantastic job Nintendo!!!!

Its always hard to gauge whether a remaster will be worth it, however in this case, it is! This is 100% the same Metroid Prime you know and loved on the Gamecube. Yes it was available in widescreen on the Wii with barely any visual updates (and annoying motion controls) - but this is the "Prime" version of the game. The visuals/textures have been completely redone in HD and look gorgeous - especially if you play on TV on an OLED Switch. Playability in handheld mode is a breeze. The game itself - as fun as ever - now we just need Nintendo to remaster the other two in the trilogy... 10/10 worth it if you played it in the past. 8/10 if you like Metroid and haven't played it before. It is still the same game form 20 years ago - so the controls and movement can feel dated to younger or unaware players.
