I usually buy my Nintendo games digitally but if I absolutely love the video game or the franchise, I have to buy a physical copy. It’s my way of showing appreciation. The Metroid franchise needs some more love and I’m glad this game got the remaster (nearly a borderline remake) that it deserves. Now we really need MP4!

Metroid Prime is an incredible game, and one of the best games from the GameCube. It’s no small feat that Retro was able to recreate it for the Switch in a manner that did the game justice, but the visuals are so well-remastered that the feeling of playing Metroid Prime is refreshing without feeling too different.

One of my all time favorite games, I was STOKED when Nintendo announced this. They really hit it out of the park preserving all the fun and nostalgia of the original while giving it a major graphics overhaul. Absolutely worth every penny, whether you have played it before or never played a Metroid game before

Having owned and enjoyed the GameCube version this is a fantastic remake. Graphics upgraded and modern play control with pro controller. I haven’t put this game down since picking it up. Worth every dollar at full price. It’s a must play to experience Metroid in 3d as all the others were side scrollers.

This remaster is polished and improved in general over the GameCube and Wii Editions of this game. Aside from graphical upgrades some of the enemies move in a more natural pattern as well as character movement. Great overall. And for those new to the Metroid series, this is a great place to start.

Easily the best purchase I made for the Switch this year. I didn't think they'd do this classic Gamecube title the proper facelift - and aside from a few things here and there, at 60 FPS and the touched-up graphics, it all looks fantastic to watch all over again; it was like going through a time machine back to 2002.

Full disclosure: I havent played this yet, though I did play some of the original back in the day on the GameCube but didnt love the puzzle and backtracking nature of it. The recent reviews sold me on picking up a copy, however, with how good it performs and looks on the system. I’m willing to give it another shot!

I love every metroid and this one as well, buy it.

Metroid at its finest. Completely updated from the ground up for Switch. If you like first person experiences with an exploration element then you will enjoy this game. As you progress you find items to help you. Is it worth 40? I’d say yea. - a must have for an satisfying single player experience

Perhaps the best game of the GameCube/PS2/Xbox generation gets new life on Switch. If you missed this game the first time around, now is a great time to experience this amazing game. Really like the option for a more modern control scheme, but the classic controls are still offered as well.

I still haven’t gotten around to this game but I loved it when I had the game cube. I figured I just buy it for when the day comes I wanna play it without taking out the GameCube from the closet.

The game design for 3D Metriod definitely holds up to today and the same is true for Metriod Prime remastered! The games visuals looked drastically better than all other consoles it was previously on. The game plays well too!

I have such fond memories of the GameCube original, and it's a game I have revisited many times. I was absolutely wowed by the attention to detail that Retro Studios brought to this "remaster" that should have more appropriately been titled Metroid Prime: Remade.

Revisiting this game is just amazing- They simply nailed it Graphis the feel of it all of it. This is the Metroid game if you want to introduce kids into a Great Metroid experience.

I had not played this title during the original launch on the Nintendo GameCube. Playing this title for the first time on the Nintendo Switch is a beautiful interaction. I love the puzzles and the need to unlock abilities in order to progress. First person shooter goodness and fun. A must buy!
