I would not recommend this watch whatsoever being that it lags. The watch itself, cannot handle fast movements when navigating; it takes it a few minutes to catch up. The watch I received did not come with the adapter that plugs into the wall, only the USB cable. On numerous occasions, the watch froze and displayed a black screen. I continously had to keep factory resetting it. I wasn't worth the hassle so I returned it.

My house is a mix of iOS and Android - add in a Google Home, Philips Hue, Logitech - it's remotely smart. I couldn't justify a smart watch, but briefly considered the new Series 4 Apple Watch. I'm just not a big fan of the look. My wife is constantly on the go and would benefit from a smart watch more than I. When I saw the Michael Kors Access...I knew she'd love it. A little about my wife. She's not a fan of new technology. Even moving from one iPhone to another seems to cause some anxiety for her. I've learned over the years to introduce tech slowly and it has to work perfectly. Was I willing to risk my marriage on a smart watch that she didn't know she needed? First off, it passed the "fashion" test. This watch is beautiful - which is what you'd expect from Michael Kors. The band is stainless steel, but not overly heavy and clunky. Depending on the size of your wrists, you'll have to have some links removed. Setup is easy. If you're an iOS user you'll have ot download the Wear OS app from the App Store. This will allow for easy setup of the watch. The downside I suppose is the app has to be running to get SMS alerts on the watch. Not a big deal and just a minor issue when you mix different technologies. Mine required a new version of Wear OS, I'm assuming others will as well. I couldn't notice a difference between the two, but newer is always better :-) Once the watch and phone are paired, all your calendar and contacts sync. The watch will also connect to your wireless network which will allow better coverage around the house if you get away from your phone. There are a lot of other apps you can install as well as different watch faces - change faces to match what you're wearing, seasons, etc. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the Access. It is a beautiful watch with a great interface. So far my wife has been able to adapt to it quickly without much issue.

The Michael Kors Smartwatch is beautiful and I like how you can change the watch face from your phone. That was only after I spent about an hour figuring out exactly how to pair the phone with the watch (which took two times) and download apps on the watch. The instructions that come with the watch have just two steps - 1) charge the watch and 2) download the app and pair. Then you are supposed to follow instructions on the watch. While it was easy enough to do - it did not sync properly the first time so I uninstalled and started over. The second time it worked but in order for some of the apps to work, I had to install them on the watch even though they were on the phone. Figuring out how to use the watch (slide right, left, up, down - use the buttons on the side) took some time. I still have yet to know what "looks" are - will have to Google that. My husband had to take out two links - the watch is very comfortable (and waterproof). But... after getting things set up and using the watch for over a week, I must say it is very convenient and fun to have. I got it to better monitor my fitness and sleep (and to motivate me). I like the sleep app (does not come with it but pairs with one I downloaded on my phone) and the Fit program which monitors activity including steps and heart rate. It helps to have a goal and to be able to see it quickly and easily. I also like the notifications on the phone for emails and texts, which will be quite helpful when in meetings or attending conferences - it is less distracting to people around you to look at a watch rather than be on your phone. It has fun features like a new quote each day, and with Google Assistance (OK Google) you can ask it or tell it to do just about anything from send a text to get directions. It has a microphone, but not speakers so getting use to the interaction with your phone takes time. The learning curve for the watch is big, and the online Michael Kor video tutorials are too simplistic. But there are more and more user videos that are helpful and the more I use the watch, the more I like the convenience and functionality of it.

    Great Smartwatch, Not-so-great Packaging

This MK smartwatch is among the classiest-looking smartwatches around. Google Wear is snappy as the operating system, and notifications work well. Changing the look was smooth, and everything is intuitive one you understand how the touch screen controls work. The biggest issue with this watch is that MK doesn't include anyway of adjusting the size on board. Maybe that is the standard way, but since the stainless steel chains have to be removed via a special jewelry tool, I felt it necessary that the company include one. I found the health and heart rate monitoring systems to be fairly accurate, and using it for work outs was easy enough, though slightly heavy. Even paired with an iPhone, Google Wear and this watch were able to sync and work well. The only issue is you can't utilize replying to emails or messages, but more than likely you're not buying this watch if you have an Apple device. The only other item worth mentioning is battery life. This is crucial for any smartwatch, and while the packaging claims 24-hours of use, I found that to be inflated. It can last all day, yes, but with normal wear and use, it was dead by the end. Overall, the watch is great. It's very stylish, snappy to the touch, has a solid screen, and feels like a premium device. The only two drawbacks are the sluggish battery life, and no inclusion of a way to adjust the size from the start. I feel that's a pretty significant problem, as reflected by the rating.

I got this for my girlfriend. The Rose gold gives this watch a sophisticated look. You can also use it for jogging or cycling, how cool is that? You'll have to download an app to take advantage of all the features. My girlfriend sync up her spotify from her apps, she controls its through her watch. The watch itself has a built in speaker but you can barely hear it to be honest. I haven't tried to sync it to headphones. One thing i didn't like was that i wasn't able to reply back to text messages through the watch. I have to use my phone. I have to do this when someone calls as well. The battery life isn't a lot to brag about, it last almost all day if you don't use it so much, the watch itself is advertise at 24 hrs. If you try to use the smart saver mode it basically goes to airplane mode. I don't know why everyone is complaining about the comparability w/ iphones, the sync up was very easy. Finally, this watch is very stylish and its Michael Kors! My girlfriend has gotten a lot of compliments on her watch. I would recommend to anyone!!

If you're looking for decent apps and own an Android phone, the Michael Kors Access smartwatch is a good watch to consider. The watch looks beautiful and thankfully the display uses the entire screen instead of the "flat-tire" display. It is really convenient for those who put their phones away in their bag. Obviously, the case against getting a smartwatch is that your phone already does the same things, but I found myself catching a lot more of my notifications and phone calls with a smartwatch on. It's waterproof enough for you to go swimming with it, which I doubt anyone would with this sort of watch... but it gives you the peace of mind of nothing bad happening to it when you're caught in the heavy rain without an umbrella. Or if you need to clean the watch under tap water. The native apps on Wear OS are so much better than the apps on a Samsung Galaxy Watch, which is another watch Android phone users could consider. The Google Assistant is actually competent and useful whereas Bixby on the Galaxy Watch is an embarrassment and a waste of space on the watch. My main negative with this watch is its battery life, which hasn't really improved much over the years. It still won't last you a full day, as in 24 hours. The argument people use is that people aren't awake the whole 24 hours, but that doesn't give me peace of mind, especially if you're traveling. Expect to charge the watch every evening.

Nice Looking Watch, apps lacking-band tricky

The watch looks great. The initial startup worked okay. It took a little work to get linked up but not too difficult. The main issues I had are the band it comes with is a metal link and unless you have jeweler's tools you will need to pay a watch shop/jeweler to adjust the length. It is set larger than an average woman's size wrist. Also out of nowhere the app notifications stopped working correctly, then I found out my Verizon Messenger app is not supported by the watch. Last (for the negatives) since it's a smart watch and includes features like a pedometer and heart rate, the type of band included doesn't seem the best match. A strap band might be better (a matching buckle is included if you chose to switch). I felt like I was going to get it sweaty while on the treadmill and it would be a pain to clean. Now the goodies. The watch looks great, and has a lot of features which I am still figuring out. It syncs find with my android phone and has features like turning off notifications when not wearing.

    A smart watch with style

Michael Kors has just put out their newest line of the access series which i believe is called the runway model. This watch is very typical to most smart watches on the market however this brings the style and elegance of everything you would hope to expect from a Michael Kors line. Lets see if this is a right fit for you and worth the price tag. First off out of the box you can tell they did not hold back when it comes to quality and design of this product. It comes very elegantly wrapped. What you can expect to receive right out of the box is the watch, set up manual and two prong magnetic quick charger with cable. The watch face itself is pretty decent in size. Its not too large but its not small either by any means. The watch comes with a very nice metal band/ clasp set up and the watch will need to be taken in to be sized for your wrist. If you live near a Michael Kors retailer they will size their watches for free. The watch is both compatible with apple and android users. Set up is not hard and was done with in minutes. Simply pair using bluetooth and download the app. One important thing to note as i have seen there were connection issues is to make sure both the app and watch are both update with the latest software or you will run in to connection issues. The watch has a battery life of just a little under 24 hours depending of course on your settings and apps that you are running. Charge time has been stepped up from their latest models to where you can receive an 80% charge time in about an hour. Now i know alot of people tend to complain about the run time only being about an hour but one thing you need to understand is this is not your typical watch. I am a big smart watch fan and own a few different ones and one thing i can tell you is the higher end brand name watches typically tend to be only about a 24 hour run life. This doesn't bother too much as i tend to wear them for special occasions or if i do wear them every day no big deal i just set it on the charger when i go to bed and grab it when i wake up. Don't let the battery life sway you from this beautiful design. Lets talk functionality. This watch is a step up from their other designs in a few ways. For starters they have implemented a heart rate monitor and fitness apps. This watch is also water proof and has apps that track your laps. Me personally i would never take a watch of this caliper swimming regardless just due to the fact that it is a Michael Kors. Aside from a few differences this watch acts and feels like a typical smart watch. You have hundreds of different watch faces to choose from with more styles being added. You have a wide range of apps to suit your everyday needs including tons of fitness trackers. A stand alone GPS in case you wish to leave your phone in the car it will still track your location and miles ran or biked then log it. You can receive text messages, emails, phone calls and basically all the notifications that go along with a phone. The band is also interchangeable in case you don't like the clasp style. You also have google assistant built in. I don't want to drag this on and on about all the features available as they are pretty much the same features as most smart watches out there with not too much stand alone features. This watch is pretty much an upgrade to its predecessor which is good because it means it has finally joined the ranks of what some of the other smart watches out there are capable of doing. Here's my take away from this watch. If you have ever owned a smart watch then all of this will seem very familiar to you with not too many differences. However what makes this watch a nice piece to have is the fact that it is a brand name watch entering the market at a very competitive price. It brings a style of sleek design that you would expect to see from a Michael Kors line with all the functionality to keep up with your every day life rather it be fitness or business. If the one day life span is going to bother you then step away and buy something else. But if your looking for a watch that can do what all the other watches can do but looks very sleek and classy than this is the watch for you.
