After purchase went home and opened box. This device was Just to large for what I was looking for. Already own the Garmin Vivosmart which is a much smaller device. If you are looking for a larger device I would recommend this but if you are looking for a smaller discrete activity tracker check out your other options.

Needed a good product to use with the work phone. One that could give me alerts. But one that could track sleep and heart rate. This one does great.

My MS Band 2 has more features than the previous model. I like receiving emails, texts, phone call notices, and several other options that are blue toothed with my cell phone. There are two downsides of this device for me. 1. It has a very thick band where it attaches and 2) it can not be read (seen) when out in the sun. They need to fix their screen so it is visible when outdoors.

Impressed with the ability to text from the notification area and actually avoid typos. Counting flights of stairs is also great, haven't had that function in past trackers I've had. Get a few days of battery if turn off the continuous heart rate tracking but still turns on when needed durung exercising.

The band is a very great device for both health tracking and productivity. Battery life is great, can get me through 2 full days. My wife has one as well and we are both very satisfied with them.

Good quality band with accurate readings. Using my W10 phone gets the best out of the Microsoft App for the band. The Microsoft App is very good and improving. Band also can be firmware updated via Bluetooth. Nice concept for future changes that will keep it updated and increase it's usable lifespan.

Overall nice improvement over Band 1

When I needed to replace my Band 1, I went with the Band 2 based on my largely positive opinion of the Band 1. Overall the Band 2 is an improvement, with a better physical design including a curved screen and what I believe is a slight larger screen. I wore my Band 2 without a screen protector for about 2-3 weeks and never had an issue with scratches. I have since put a screen protector on it just for the peace of mind. Microsoft redesigned the charging port and so the Band 2 comes with an entirely new charging cable, which was a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping to be able to use my Band 1's charging cable as a backup at work. I find the new cable slightly more cumbersome to attach, but it's not a big deal. I also have found the software interface is slightly more difficult in that it can take a few extra swipes and taps to get things done as compared to the Band 1. Even though there are some setbacks, they are minor in comparison to the overall improvement of the Band 2 and I'm happy with my purchase.

One of my favorite items ever bought. My only issue was it only lasted less than 2 years. It just stopped charging one day lucky for me I bought the warranty. Best buy gave me no issues in exchanging it for whatever I wanted. I left with the iwatch (it will take time to get used to it).

This band has it all, steps.floors, heart rate, weather, stock market ETC. Best of all it works with all phones on the market. I love it. A few minor downfalls are the battery only last around 2 days and if using the stop watch that's all you can use, can not see the watch function anymore.

Feels like quality and lots of options. BUT, heavy, bulky, presses on back of wrist, does not play well with favorite apps like Myfitnesspal, Runtastik, etc. Would not recommend to anyone serious about exercising with this thing on.

Previously, I had the first Microsoft watch and loved it but then the battery would not charge. The charging port was under the watch face and it was difficult to connect. The new Microsoft 2 watch is easy and fast to charge. It does an excellent job of keeping track of everything for me.

I use it with my Windows Phone and it works great. Lots of features and it even has a barcode for my Starbucks card for quick scanning. I use the pedometer all the time and really enjoy the discreet text and email alerts. Much less noticeable than checking my phone during a meeting.

The MS Band 2 has super apps and features, my primary reasons for purchasing the band was for fitness tracking and everyday wear. For fitness, the band has some very positive attributes: The running app is one of the best bands I’ve used for distance accuracy; outside it uses the GPS function and was dead on with my trail runs. Inside, it was the best band I’ve ever used to accurately measure distance and pace on the treadmill. The onboard heartrate monitor is adequate for straight cardio but starts to get flakey with weight training like most other wrist-worn optical monitors. The golf widget is okay, it does not continually monitor yardage, you have to activate / refresh each time you want yardage by pushing a button. Sometimes the GPS would not lock on especially in heavily wooded areas. The non-fitness apps were awesome and the band kept the Bluetooth connection incredibly well. Push notifications for texts and calls worked flawlessly with my IPhone. The sleep tracker function is great too, very quick and easy to activate and the wake-up feature is topnotch. With all this being said, the Band 2 had just about all the features I was looking for - BUT – it was, on the verge of being torturous to wear full-time. There is absolutely no flex in the band and regardless of positioning on my wrist, I could NOT find a clasp setting that would give me any degree of long-term comfort. Several nights, it woke me up due to the fact it was cutting off the circulation to my wrist. During the day if it slipped down toward my hand it would keep my wrist from flexing, I was constantly readjusting the band all day long, as well as completely taking it off for some much needed relief. I also did not like the fact that the recommended position was to wear the band with the face to the inside of your wrist. The bulge of the face made keyboard typing very uncomfortable. Overall, the Band 2 has just about all the functionality you could want, but the lack of ergonomic form makes it a total bust for me.

The Microsoft Band 2 is a great device for tracking fitness and health metrics. I use it everyday to monitor my sleep, steps, and workouts. I also use the golf course feature.
