Does a lot in a small package

Excellent size and clear display. The Band does exactly what it's designed for in a small package. The only downside is charging the unit every two days. I would have given the unit 5 stars if it had a longer charge.

I had the first generation and it was a piece of junk. It corroded in no time, less than a year and I took care to take it off and keep it from getting wet. The corrosion caused problems charging. This model has many improvements, Better location for the charge adapter (in the clasp). Better fit as it is more curved. The second gen band is more supple which was a problem with the first generation which cracked and opened up and exposed the electronics. I really love the ability to use the GPS for biking and running and the subtle way to look at messages, phone calls and emails with the turn of a wrist. Speaking of that, I like the way it will show the time just by turning your wrist and stay dark when it is in the regular position on your wrist.

I like the MB2 for what is, and that is more than a fitness band and less than a smart watch. It lets you see briefly what you need to see and you can move on. I will say though, if you buy this go ahead and get a screen protector. It may be gorilla glass, but even wearing it on the inside of my wrist it still managed to get scratched.

I like the Microsoft Band. It is comfortable to wear and the clasp is easy to use making it simple to put on and take off. Re-charges fast. Does a great job of tracking my activity, including my sleep. Very nice.

Hello Deepthi, The amount of time your Band 2 batteries last varies depending on how you use your Band. The batteries have limited recharge cycles (1,000 complete recharge cycles). For tips and tutorials for increasing your battery life, please visit: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-band/en-us/support/hardware/battery-and-charging . We apologize for the frustration this has caused and this hope this was helpful to you. Microsoft

I love this activity tracker! I had initially been turned off by some reviews about fitment. Boy was I wrong. It fits perfectly and is full of features. It has a sleek design and pretty accurate in its measurements. The only downside is the battery life. Consider it like a device in between the Vivosmart and Apple Watch in terms of what it does. Then, you can understand why the battery life doesn't last as long.

This is the 3rd band 2 for our family. It is the device of choice over all others. Excellent gps, and good desktop dashboard. Great sleep monitor. Flawless at staying connected to cell phone, both iphone and android. Has to be charged daily if gps is used for very long (run or cycle tracking). Just an FYI however, all LED heart rate monitoring devices are nowhere as near as functional or accurate as a strap. Be mindful that elevated heart rate monitoring is not that robust.

I purchased the Microsoft Band 2 when the wrist band on the earlier version broke in two without a replacement. The latest version is a more comfortable fit on the wrist. I'm using the same features I used on the first band: steps, heartrate, sleep monitoring, I like feeling the vibration when I receive incoming emails, texts, calendar events, phone calls. Looking at the watch, I can decide if I want to follow through by looking at my smart phone or ignore the event.

Good set of features, could be improved in software. No easy way to clear selected messages, it's all or none. Setup an easy procedure but didn't fully work first or second time. Battery requires recharge every night and can run out during the day.

The band looks very nice, has blue tooth syncing and APP. I had to return the first band because it would not hold the Bluetooth connection. The new one works great! I wish that phone app had better prior history access where I could look at my results 10 days ago just like the results of the current day!

For anybody wanting more out of a fitness band, the Microsoft band 2 is for you. I wear this everyday, even at work as a heavy equipment mechanic, it's durable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to if not being waterproof. Other than that, it's s much better device than my Fitbit I had.

Works well with iOS for my needs. The battery life isn't quite as good as competitors, but the band fits comfortably and allows me to wear a watch on my other wrist without looking too funky as most other bands are meant to also look like a watch. Gives me much of the same info as my fitbit Blaze but works better for me. Several options to wear this and as I am avid outdoors I enjoy having the ability to utilize the GPS and UV sensor.

Don't expect a full blown "smart watch" with this device. Assuming most people seriously considering this already know this though. If you're looking for something with fitness in mind though I don't think you can go wrong. Packed full of sensors this sucker gives you all the info you could possibly need about your day with the added bonus of notifications from your phone and calendar events. And finally has the recently added function of music control to catch up. I love my band and am absolutely thrilled with the new purchase.

    Good features Poor quality

I will start off with the good The Microsoft Band 2 really fills the gap for those who want a fitness watch with all of the capabilities of a smart watch. It has music controls, voice commands, text and email forwarding and a very crisp clear screen. All while having a huge array of fitness monitors, GPS tracking, exercise recommendations and a fairly well integrated cellphone app. No for the bad.... There are a number of problems with the device lets start with the simple fact that it lasts about a day and a half which is the price you pay for a nice color screen. However the larger problem is the quality is outrageously poor. In the one year of ownership I had to get replacements from Microsoft 5 times... 1) 1 month in it stopped turning on. 2) 3 months later the replacement stops turning on 3) 4 months the band broke and due to the censors inside there are not replacement bands. This broke due to a design flaw in which the soft rubber is covering a hard metal piece and after time it wears through. 4) 2 Months in it cant hold a charge and will only power on while plugged into the charger saying that it is at full charge soon after and then dying immediately after being taken off the charger again. 5)2 more Months a week before the manufacturers 1 year warranty expires the not holding a charge issue happens again. By the time I receive a replacement the warranty has expired and the new one comes dead on arrival with the same issue... TL;DR its got nice features but mine never lasted more than 4 months without breaking down.
