I decided to go with the microsoft band 2 after researching the fitbit and Garmin. I'm glad I went with the Microsoft Band. The only thing I cannot do with the band 2 is reply to a message from the band and that's because I do not have a Microsoft watch but I'm pleased with the fact all the other features work well. I would recommend it to someone looking for a fitness band with some smart watch features.

Really like this band's features. Not quite as comfortable as the Fitbit but it stays on your wrist very well. Works very well too. I recommend buying the warranty.

Good watch. Strap fit my husband's large wrist but strap broke for him twice within a year. Good thing it was still under warranty when it happened.

The product is good, but it sometimes loses connection with the app. The battery life is very good 2-3 days depending on how much you use it for working out, etc.

I started out with the original Band and replaced it with the Band 2. As the hardware has improved, so has the MS Health software. The Band is a valuable tool to track a fitness program and serves to motivate one, too. In the past few months, with a change to a low carb lifestyle and daily exercise, I've been able to drop the equivalent of one of the big bags of food I buy for my dog in weight. Besides the fitness and sleep tracking functions, the timer function gets a lot of play. I also use the text notifications and Hey Cortana reminders regularly. The Band 2 looks decent. It's not fine jewelry or an expensive watch, but it doesn't embarrass one either. It's a little bulky under dress shirt cuffs, but my lifestyle is generally more casual than that. I'm a Windows Phone fan, so I can't speak to integration with iPhones and Android, but it works great for me.

This was easily my favorite smartwatch/fitness wearable that I ever had the chance to use. Unfortunately, Microsoft has made it pretty clear that it no longer supports the Band product line. That being said, it still works with the mobile apps perfectly and is a good looking device. Whether you get it from Best Buy or elsewhere, you'll still be getting a good product.

I returned a Christmas gift (Band 1) because it was too small and purchased this one. Better looking and more comfortable then the Band 1 but it is still bulky and limited on functionality unless you are looking for a sport watch with very minor interface to mail, text, phone, etc. Because I have an Android device, no interface to voice commands. Will be better if the price drops or on sale.

I had the first version and was very satisfied then I traded up and I am even more satisfied. The Band is more than a fitness tracker it is a personal assistant. The tracking is outstanding it tracks elevations, stairs, steps heartrate then it also is a calendar, and with Cortana its a personal assistant and communication device. I can text , set appointments and reminders. The new explore app is a GPS map tracker with the ability to set waypoint notes for later review. The capability of this device is incredible Also the battery is great it has lasted up to 3 days with continual wear and app use. Recharging time is quick. Durability is good, and the screen will take some bumps but I strongly recommend that you get a screen protector when you buy it. If your active you will take a spill or scrap so protection is important. I am extremely happy with the Band

I loved my Microsoft band 2. Microsoft has stopped producing it for some reason and me bands band broke so now I am left trying to pick a good replacement but haven't found anything I like or that has the same features in the same price range.

Bought this to replace my Fitbit charge. Takes a little getting used to where everything is but not difficult to learn. Downside: no way of tracking food log on MS health. I was already using Lose It app so not a big deal for me though others may really want this. Bonus points for the guided workouts that can be downloaded to the band (tried them, you will feel it in the morning).

I had purchased this with higher hopes. All the good reviews are android based which I discovered after purchase. I have an iPhone and a lot of the things that are useful with android, like responding to email via keyboard or voice, would have been great. Even connection to talk through it. So now this is just an activity tracker. It is too bulky to sleep with so I no longer track sleep. It can't get wet so when in a really hard workout I'm less likely to keep it on which stinks considering that is what I intend to use it for. The battery life isn't that great if you are really active. No matter how many things you shut off to extend the battery life. It was mainly purchased to track bicycle rides. I have not had this ability yet but we'll see. Not a complete failure but it hasn't met many expectations to date.

This sports band has tons of features in which you can have a baseline and keep track of your progress wether in the app or the band. I exersize almost every day and the band May last 1 1/2 day without recharge. Recharges fairly fast. The down side... it's splash / rain proof so must not bathe with it or will succumb to its injuries ;-). Buy extended warranty it's a must....
