Many appreciate the device's features and compatibility, but some find the battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the size and weight of the band, as well as the durability of the band material and its water resistance.

great product for workouts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought the MS band was a real cool watch. I bought it after reviewing many bands because it seemed to be the best for bike riders, whether outdoor or indoor. The GPS is great, the notifications are cool. Only bad thing is MS health app doesn't have tracking for food/calorie intake which is a big miss. Also, if you have an Apple phone, it doesn't have full functionality compared to having a Windows phone.

I love my MS Band
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it daily, I was concerned that the short battery life would be an issue, but I have worked it into my daily routine. I had one issue (the charging cable that came with the band quit working), I contacted MS and they insisted on providing a new band, wouldn't just send me a replacement cable. Good range on the Blue Tooth, I would give it 5 stars if the Cortana / Android implementation worked.

Looks more like a watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gives me good read outs. Like the heart info and is easy to get info with my phone. I also like that it looks like a watch as most of the other do look like some kind of monitors. I would recommend this to my friends especially those who have to monitor heart rates

Delivers as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does all that is specified. The rubber wrist bands feel good on the skin. Only the battery life could be a bit better. Getting about 2 days out of it when connected to my phone and ~100 emails/day + messages. Have not used the GPS yet for tracking runs outside.

Love the graphical interface and built-in GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a previous owner of a competitor's fitness tracker (Fitbit HR), I have to say I am more impressed by Microsoft's Band 2 product: • Aesthetics - Beautiful design androgenous to both males and females • Comfort - Not at all cumbersome/heavy, although I sometimes have a difficult time fitting my long-sleeved shirt over it. • Graphical Interface - easy to navigate; use of tiles and arrangement is perfect • Battery Life - This is my only area of slight disappointment, because I have to charge the Band every 2 days, but leaving it charged at my work desk is not a problem.

One of the Best Fitness Trackers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has multiple tracking sensors including UV and GPS sensors. The device is compatible with Windows phone, IOS and Android. The build is good with metal, silicone and gorilla glass. The band can feel uncomfortable with bulky clasp. In addition, the metal on the clasp easily shows scratches and wear.

Band 2 is good, but could be better.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the Microsoft Band 2 for Christmas. It is comfortable to wear. Works well as a pedometer and the bicycling app works really well. However, I don't think that the heart-rate measurement is very accurate and the golf app needs a lot of work. It misses a lot of strokes, the GPS function is slow, and is too cumbersome to adjust strokes, such as putts, on the course.

Sometimes I wonder why MS does this..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is.. or was an excellent product while it lasted. A little obtrusive on the rise but otherwise was feature-loaded and easy enough to use. Technologically advanced and superior to some of the other wearables/activity trackers, yet flawed in the execution and material. Almost seems like a MS Garage product. Unfortunately, the band (the band itself) started tearing after 4-5 months of use. In spite of good care, this well-known issue with the band consumed by favorite band and thus returned to a Best buy. I was given full refund, not sure because I had a Geek squad protection or because it was a known defect. In any case, now that there is no Band 3, I am having to hunt for a suitable replacement, just like I had to find shelter in Android after the WP8 debacle.

I love the band, but it keeps turning itself off
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the band features. There are 2 negatives; the brightness of the display is not bright enough outside and I've had several times where the things shuts off and when I connect the charging cord it says the battery died, but then immediately jumps back up to 90% or so battery. But, I love the tiles and ability to move, add and remove them. The GPS during runs works great. It seems to be very accurate. The step counter is spot on. I spent this past week at camp with several others that had fitbits and apple watches etc... At the end of each day we all compared out step counts and mine was right there amongst the rest around 28,000 steps (it was a very active camping experience). I am looking forward to the band 3. I hope it is waterproof.

Fanboy here
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like M$ products. I did not get the first gen band. Waited for this. A bit bulkly, but you get used to it. Haven't compared step count against my Fitbit One, but the staircount is way off the mark. Since it uses a barometer, differences in air pressure can increase your stair count wildly, especially on windy days. I would buy again

Great smart watch fantastic fitness tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this product. Does everything that I need it 2 do plus more. Slightly uncomfortable but this could be because I haven't wore a watch in 15 years. I did a lot of research before buying this. Fits my needs very well. Love the screen. How I can even customize even with my own pictures. I've heard a lot of complaints about the heart rate monitor. But I've found it to be very accurate when compared to equipment at the gym. I think if its worn properly not to tight not to loose its more accurate.

Best combo of smart watch and activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a Jawbone and FitBit Charge HR and I'm happiest with the MS Band 2. The FitBit heart rate monitor was fine at rest; but, it was terrible when it came to running. The Band 2 is much more accurate (I compared it against a chest monitor). My biggest complaint is the battery life (which is just over a day). The iOS app is okay; but, I'm hoping for more improves and time goes on. I didn't bother getting a screen protector film because most reviews say that they'll peel off; but the Gorilla glass seems to be pretty good. I have micro-scratches because I used to wear it with the screen side down; but, I've switch back since. I still wear it "upside down" when I run because I find the HR more accurate.

Great at monitoring sleep.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love being able to track heart rate, steps, exercise, etc. But I most appreciate the feedback regarding my sleep. It is reassuring to know when I have had a good sleep and whether it was light or restful.

Great features - easy to use with my Windows phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch was easy to pair with my Windows phone. It tracks steps, calories, and pulse, it provides statistics while sleeping, and goes almost two complete days on a charge. I would recommend to anyone.

Very good hybrid smart/fitness watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I wanted a fitness watch but didn't want a fitbit and wanted a smart watch but didn't need all the bells and whistles of one of the other smart watches. The band 2 is comfortable and does an excellent job doing what it is supposed to- count steps, and give me notifications when needed.

Battery life issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the most part I like my Microsoft Band 2 but I considered returning it for 2 reasons. My 1st problem with it was that it is in the way when using another recently purchased Microsoft product, my Microsoft Surfacebook. The glass side of my band constantly taps on the metal wrist wrest of my notebook thus potentially scratching both devices. I decided to keep it but it has to be charged every day. If use it for an exercise like I do with cycling, after a 2 hour bike ride, the battery is nearly drained and requires a charge just to make it through the day.

Great activity tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft Band 2 can be used as an actrivity tracker than can also make calls using an app on your smartphone. I purchased it to use as an activity tracker and am extremely happy with its functionality in tracking your steps, silent alarm and sleep monitoring. I have been quite surprised that it does a very good job at tracking sleep. The heart rate monitor works well. Overall, it is a very good product, although it can be a little expensive.
