Customers are saying

Customers commend the Band 2 (Small) for its GPS, heart rate, and sleep tracking capabilities, along with its comfortable design and accurate readings. Many appreciate the device's features and compatibility, but some find the battery life could be improved. Concerns were also raised regarding the size and weight of the band, as well as the durability of the band material and its water resistance.

We have compared other health fit bit style bands with other people who have purchased the actual fit bit this one is sleeker and does alot more. I got this for my husband and he loves it.

I had the original Microsoft Band, which I liked for features and tolerated for fit. Sometimes it felt like what it must be like to have a prisoner's tracking band! SO glad I bought the BB extended warranty because at 11 months of careful use, that one cracked on both sides of the band. I got this model as a replacement. It's definitely more comfortable than the original and has extra bells and whistles, though like most Microsoft products before version "3", there's still room to improve. It added "flights of stairs climbed", but it often gets this wrong and occasionally very wrong. On the whole, though, it's a pretty nice product with good tracking features and its own GPS so I can run with or without my cell. If I leave the phone behind, it will sync when I return home. The battery lasts a bit over a day, but it's more like a day with a 30 minute GPS-enabled run. Sleep tracking seems good, but it's hard to know if it's accurate. I'd like to be able to edit/correct calculations once downloaded to my phone, but I'm not sure it's possible. I've also had two occasions where the band has powered itself off and refused to power on until being reconnected to the charger. This seems to be some kind of design flaw which I've since read in a Microsoft forum isn't uncommon. Thankfully, it's only been twice. Both times when I had to store my phone, band, and car fob in a small metal locker at a pool. (Charging band is proprietary, so you might want one for your car or travel bag.) I won't try to give a full review as there are already many existing. On the whole I'm pleased, but I bought the BB extended warranty again. I seldom buy extended warranties, but most fitness bands seem fragile and often used in activities where I could see them being inadvertently damaged. I'd definitely take the warranty on this model! Finally, my Android phone's battery drains a bit faster with the Microsoft Health app installed. I'm hoping this improves in time, but sometimes newer versions have new bugs that drain the battery still faster! Recommended in general, so long as you're aware of all the caveats.

I really like this band, its 100x's more stable than the fitbit charge. I went through 3 fitbits before I decided this upgrade. Accuracy is pretty good with this device, tracking workouts is great, steps, even more starbucks purchase can be made on it...which is kind of a joke, but great...if there were only more app options to add tiles...they are mostly microsoft related and i would never use. Still, this band is legit, sturdy, and accurate. I wish for a longer battery life, so I don't even keep the bluetooth connected unless I am syncing it just to save battery. Also band color options in the future might be good, but I like it dark.

Needed a heart rate monitor and saw the band. Very attractive . Great features, did more than expected. When my wife saw mine she wanted one too. The built in GPS is a big plus.

This was a gift. Great investment. Does everything that s FitBit does plus a whole lot more. Sincs with any smartphone using the Microsoft app and allows you to control settings.

    Updated Review after HotFix

When I originally purchased this I went through a lot of frustration. I have an Android phone, and although the Band 2 is compatible with Android, it was a nightmare. My girlfriend's iPhone was easily able to connect and set up without any issues while my Android device struggled. I was using Marshmallow 6.0.1 on the Nexus 6 for anyone that is wondering. After 3 weeks of resets updates and multiple calls and emails to Microsoft it finally connected. A lot of people wouldn't have waited that long, but I knew that this was a great product and it just needed a chance. I am extremely thrilled that I waited for the fix. This product works excellent. The heart monitor is accurate, the pedometer is nice (we compete with our steps now since she purchased the Fitbit Blaze), the golf app is absolutely amazing. It has GPS capability and with the conjunction of Taylormade this app works extremely well as far as analytics on the golf course go. Tons of settings and customization, discreet notifications, and working on Cortana support outside of the Win10 Mobile. This product has been continuously updated, and will become a better product each passing month. If you are looking for a fitness tracker, a notification band, and an excellent golf GPS watch, this is by far the best product. I am more than happy that I stuck out through the bad to use this watch. There are a few bugs that I have noticed, but only with replies on notifications. Text message replies sometimes send upwards of 10 of a repeating text. I do not advise to respond on the watch at this time.

Comfortable, easy to use, links with all smart phones. Microsoft app for iPhone is pretty good. Did not give it 5 starts because the plastic band scratches easily.

I'm very happy with the band 2. The display is crisp and attractive. The multiple workout modes are very useful. Looking forward to actually getting out on the road and testing the bicycle tracking functionality. The sleep tracking is okay, (but I didn't expect overly much from this functionality). I'm very pleased with the automatic sleep tracking mode if I forget to switch it on myself. The battery life is acceptable for a device with such a dynamic display. Usually only have to charge every other day at most, sometimes every third day. I believe Microsoft did it right with this band.

The band is a great tool to record your daily activities. The heart rate sensor works accurater than Apple Watch. You can use apps to guide and record your working out. The reason why I don't give five stars is that the feeling of wearing it is not perfect

The band is actually very good...a little bulky for my taste but I have gotten use to it. I would definitely recommend this band to anyone. You can set your own preferences on the band to what you want to see, you can change the color of the background.

Good sleep tracker. Good support for multi-platform. Good performance and step tracking. Well-thought out interface and functions. Cortana access. Email/notifications/texts are good. No speakers and camera like a different brand, but I don't need that.

Early adopter is who I am. I love new technology, but dislike the headaches associated with said products. Microsofts Band 2 is a leap above in build quality from the Band 1 iteration. The fit and finish of the end product is substantially better. I love how it curves to my wrist. Don't have to worry about screen scratches and catching corners like the band 1. It seems to sync with my iPhone easier, and doesn't drop Bluetooth connectivity. Steps are accurate, as I wore my Band 1, 2, and Samsung S2 to compare between the three. All rated exactly the same. I love the wireless pay with the onboard Starbucks gift card option. Only complaint is that you can't use the keyboard with an iPhone, only a windows phone. One neat feature I really enjoy is pressing the main button twice fast, which brings up my music control buttons. Super helpful while excersizing.

This is a great fitness tracker with a few smart watch features. Unfortunately a true fitness watch/smart watch hybrid does not yet exist, but this is a step in the right direction. My only gripe is its a little bulky but for me it's not a deal breaker.

The Microsoft band has tons of features for the price, but it is large and still somewhat uncomfortable. It is better than the first generation, but I still found it annoying and bulky on my wrist.

Going into my purchase I knew that the Band 2 was a fitness tracker and NOT a smartwatch. It collects all your health monitoring data conveniently into Microsoft's health application, but it just so happens to tap into your phone as well becoming an extension of your device. It could be a bit more comfortable, but it grows on you really quick. I wear it on my inside right wrist, which was very different than how I wear my watches on my left, but I still warmed up to it.

I was skeptical at first since I've been an Apple guy through and through for years but I was intrigued by the smart watch options, fitness tracking and golf functionality. Bestbuy is great in that I could wear it for two weeks to see if I liked it and bottom line is I do. I haven't played golf with it yet as spring isn't here yet but the activity and fitness tracking options are great and the smart watch features are just right. I wasn't interested in doing too much on the watch (aka Apple Watch) due to the size, to me notifications are enough. After a month of using it I would recommend it and would buy it again if I lost it. My only grip is finding the perfect latch spot on the band but that's a minor inconvenience that only takes a second to fix.

Great watch. I like all the features. Works well and syncs easily with Apple IOS. Siri is not available on the watch, I don't have a need to talk to my watch anyway. Great product, download the free Microsoft Health app from apple store and you have everything you need to track your activities not just for your curiosity; for your health as well. GPS feature is great for running, hiking, and biking.

This band is the perfect mixture of smart watch and fitness tracker. I believe it is one of the best fitness trackers on the market. Drawbacks are it could be more stylish, only 48 hr battery, not waterproof
