Microphone doesn't seem to work out of the box

I could hear him but he said he could not hear me. I'm unsure if my microphone is broken or if the problem is on his end, but I'm inclined to think I may have gotten a bad headset because his headset seems to work fine with others.

Great basic Xbox headset

One ear for the guys and one ear for the wife, win-win scenario. Not the greatest for sound quality but it gets the job done

Stopped working on 17th Day

The little adapter that plugs into the controller does not hook up very well anymore. If I squeeze it to the controller with one hand I can play with the other. Microsoft provides a mere 90 day warranty for this headset which makes sense now. Its totally not worth it. Also, it stopped working just 2 days after Best Buy's return window closed. Stay away. DO NOT BUY

Solid Basic Headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a simple headset to play online with since the Xbox One system no longer comes with a mic like the old Xbox 360 did, but luckily this mic works perfectly for what I needed as I didn`t need the elaborate Astros or Turtle Beach headset.

Wish that they could have designed the cable strain relief a little stronger. Kinda wimpy. Just be gentle on the cable where it goes into the controller adapter.
