I just brought this. On January 21,2018 and now it's October It stopped working and I need a new one. This does not come with warranty.

Unfortunately I retrieve this item for a better headset.

Purchased this for my son. Good product and price.

Works as intended. Replaced broken stereo headset.

These headsets are made like garbage. I have been through 5 or 6 in a year. The mic just randomly stops working. I have read there is an issue with the inside wiring. Cheaply made. Bad job Microsoft

Sorry to say but, this didn't last long like I expected. Couldn't be heard from. I just gave up. Didn't want another one like merchandise.

Glad I bought the warranty as it is not working well.

It works fine but the headset wire is made to fail.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! I had to return twice in less than a 3 months because they just stopped working.....

Very poor quality and was pretty much broken as soon as it was taken out of the box, the wires on this item are very fragile. Went back and bought a Turtle Beach and have not had any issues.

The headset it's self isn't bad but you can't hear the game through it, only people talking. It would be better if I could hear the game as well

I’ve gone through at least three of these over the last several years. The cable is so thin and weak that repeatedly plugging and unplugging the headset base into a controller will cause tears inside the cable, terminating the mic connection. I kept rebuying this because I like the one ear headset style and these are relatively inexpensive, but eventually I had enough and found a Plantronics equivalent that is far superior in build quality and sound. Don’t get this if you want to avoid headaches.

It was unclear that that these headphones only work for chat and will not output normal game audio. I had to spend money on buying it to discover that disappointing fact and I don’t feel like going through the trouble of returning it during the Covid pandemic. I don’t see why the designers of this product wouldn’t/couldn’t make it serve that possible functionality as well as an option. This review serves as a public service announcement in case you think you might want to use this as a one-ear device to hear game audio.

The microphone on this WILL fail at some point. Your mileage may vary. It’s set to fail at the design stage. I bought the protection plan after reading other reviews, and I came in need of it within a few months with light useage. Microsoft historically made poor products such as Xbox 360 and Zune, and this headset is no exception. It keeps Microsoft’s proud tradition of being a company with abysmal quality.

This is the second set I get for my son in past year. They don’t last too long so make sure you get warranty.

I went against my first mind..and purchase this headset..bad choice. I had it for a few weeks and it statics sometimes. My Xbox1 often can't even detect that the headset is plugged up..this occur on other controllers also.

Serves its purpose as a mic but it does echo off itself if it’s turned al the way up plus it gave me a rash

This product is junk and I am sorry I bought it. Thankfully I bought the warranty because I am on my third replacement in less than two months. Do NOT waste your money!

Very uncomfortable. Hard to adjust could not get sound from device ultimately exchanged for different headset.

The mic works.... only for a short amount of time before something goes wrong with it. Then you’ll need another replacement. You could buy a better mic than this 100%
