I purchased two different kinds, one connects via Bluetooth, one via USB (this item), both respond late and stop working in the middle of using it. You have yo move around until the mouse comes back to "life". Return period has ended, otherwise I would return it.

The whole unit must be sent back. The USB is flimsy and can be bent easily making the entire unit worthless. Universal USBs do not work with this.

Mouse was the worst, randomly causing pointer to jump all over screen. Keyboard would randomly not work. Expect that transmitter is poor quality. Mine was less than 4 feet away from computer, so distance not the problem. Changed to Logitech MK270 and have had no further problems.

If this is the best Microsoft can do, the company is a bent is as bad as its founder. Insert key seems to be in wrong place too - constantly hitting it and wasting time.
