Does the job very well. Wish the USB fob was a bot smaller, but I guess its a trade-off for a better range.

The keyboard is pretty good but the mouse is a real disappointment. It's really cheaply made and isn't comfortable. The keyboard is fair. I wish there was a little bit more wrist support but for the price it was good. A little bit too cheaply made when compared to Logitechs for the same price. I wanted a good keyboard and a good mouse and this was definitely not the package for me as the mouse was dinky. I returned this and went for the Logitech MK710 because the keyboard is much better and the mouse is A LOT better. More expensive for sure but well worth the cost.

I was really excited to get this keyboard and mouse not only because of the great price, but it was one of a very few that had built in encryption. I soon found out why the price was so cheap. From first use, the mouse turned out to be the Achilles heel of this combination. It is by far the worst mouse I've ever used. The tracking is terrible when used on my bed from about 12 feet away (yes, I do have it on a flat surface, and I'm using a mouse pad), and I've got to constantly baby it to get the mouse pointer where I need it on the screen. I thought it was the original battery so I swapped in a new Duracell to no avail. I turned off the Microsoft mouse using its power switch and hooked up my other wireless mouse from Rosewill ($12) to see if it had the same problem, but it worked like a charm. I can literally use it on any fairly smooth surface with no tracking issues at all. My guess is that the Microsoft mouse is having communication issues because of the metal bedsprings, because when I use it on the edge of the bed close to the USB dongle, it works fine. Unfortunately, the keyboard suffers from some of the same interference, but not as bad. Maybe in the future Microsoft will get a better transmitter/receiver USB dongle, but until then I can't recommend this mouse/keyboard.

I find this keyboard on mouse to be functional and reliable but they don't feel as comfortable as more expensive sets from Microsoft

Gave this an average rating because I bought it on sale for $20, otherwise it would have gotten 2-stars. The quite touch keyboard lacks the tactile feel and performance of a mechanical keyboard and keystrokes often fail to enter the character. Having typed on literately dozens of keyboards in my life I rarely have dropped a character, most folks would refer to me as an angry typist so I know it is not for lack of trying.

Works great with my work laptop. The building materials are somewhat cheap but still functions the way it should. Great deal!

it works as it say. But insert and backspace keys are so closed most of the time I press insert rather backspace. Also Keyboard does not have switch to turn off. So it is bit battery eating. Mouse is little bulky and keyboard makes little sound when you type. Design wise it is OK. Not a great product.

Both were easy to set up and use. Would definitely recommend this product.
