This is a great controller. Not sure if I'd say it was all that much better than the Version 1, but it does last. Personally, I preferred the Astro C40 controller for feel, use during game play and setup. However in 3 years, I went through 3 of the C40s, and my older Version 1 of this is still kickin. So if you don't feel like swapping controllers every year, and still want a controller that has the buttons on the back I'd recommend this one.

Best controller I've ever used. 4/5 because I've had to send it back TWICE because of issues. MS is pretty quick (7ish days on average from sending back to receiving your replacement) and I cannot play on other Xbox controllers anymore, and it makes the cool PS% dual sense feel like it's just lacking features. I HIGHLY recommend you buy the 2 year replacement plan from BB. For hassle free replacements.

Very well built controller! Love the different mappable buttons as well as being able to change the color or the Xbox button

only reason is not 5 stars is the grip started to fall off 6months after purchasing. For the price i dont find this acceptable, but the upgrades this has over the first gen version it is much better over all and i daily drive this still to the day.

Overall, this controller plays accurately. light touch.

This is amazing. Definitely changed my game playing. Being able to change the triggers is awesome. Does not come with back paddles. Which is really the whole point in getting one of these. Had to buy separate

Had to purchase this controller twice and here is why. I bought the “Open Box” the is supposedly checked by the Geek Squad. The first controller the right shoulder button was dead. I mean i can check this using the Xbox diagnostics.. so clearly no one at the Geek Squad checked this unit. The next open box in “excellent condition “ was missing the charging cable and not in the retail box. The Best Buy refurb is a joke..avoid it and shop Amazon… they actually check their devices.

Love it works great. Charges fast lasts forever. Will buy again.
