My Daily Driver Controller, Can't Play Without It

Love the controller, it is amazingly effective and feels great. However, I had to purchase a second one after the first one started having problems after a year. Love it though so bought a new one at full price. Would only buy if you won't be hurting after your 200 controller starts to break down in a year. Use it for Halo, COD, and Skyrim.

Bought this for easy pc gaming, connected with no issues and feels great to use. There is an app in the microsoft/windows store app that lets you update the firmware and gives you customizable options and profiles. Only gripe with it was that i had to find out about the firmware and profiles through a youtube video.

I have a mix feel for this, seems like it’s beyond my Xbox one x, I’ve notice a little lag with input from time to time, but when it’s plug it, it’s perfect. There’s a lot you can do to tune it over the first series. Maybe there’s a update in the future for the lag issue or perhaps the X Series will be able to keep up. Of course if had a choice I would have brought another series 1.

Nothing too special. If you have the money and really could use the additional buttons or customization, then you would appreciate all the features. I wish the rubber was a little more grippy. I haven't had any issues with mine and hoping I dont, but have heard of others having issues. I think for what you are getting, its a bit pricey.

Lots of customization options available and more comfortable than the standard Xbox controller. I think mostly competitive players can appreciate its features but still worth while if you know what you dislike about the standard controller. Biggest issue is you can't easily swap the battery, which is disappointing considering the cost of this product.

So I’m fully aware of all the reports and issues that came with this at its launch so I probably like many others , decided to wait and see if they fixed whatever they needed to in the later batches. I was wrong. From the extensive research I did about this, not many people were looking at “lot numbers” to see which ones were faulty and which weren’t. I ordered this about 2 weeks ago and from what I found, it was the newest lot number, #2011. So I thought I’d have a good chance at a solid one. Nope. Literally 1 week in, the joystick was drifting . And because these are so out of stock so often, Best Buy couldn’t swap mine out so I’m forced to either play with a broken one or return it altogether and wait weeks or even longer to get a new one and HOPE it’s not the same lot number. This is kind of ridiculous. I even bought the 2 year warranty on it because I was gonna be “okay” with the chance it breaks after 6 months when both Microsoft and Best Buy standard exchanges would be done. One week people... one. And I’m not the only one , 1000s of people are getting this within 30days. I don’t understand it. I have been a Xbox and Microsoft fan since 2005. I’m gonna hold out and see but I’m honestly thinking of switching over to Sony and the PS5 if this keeps up. I know I won’t be the only one in that dilemma either.

      Hey there,

We're sorry that there's an issue with the thumbstick drifting on your new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. If you'd rather not wait for assistance through Best Buy, it should still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty through Microsoft. We recommend contacting Xbox Support for assistance here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution

Great controller if you have some extra money lying around to splurge. Personally, it was a bit much for the cost, and I find it better to just grab a strike pack for the paddles and use an original Xbox one controller instead of the new one (afaik they don’t make them for the new controller right now). TLDR: get it if money isn’t an issue and you want more than two paddles, otherwise buy strike pack

The Elite Series 2 controller is one of, if not, my favorite controllers ok the market. Its very comfortable to hold in your hands, and offers tons of customizability for many different games and play styles. This is a must for any xbox user.

By far the best controller that I’ve bought. I’ve had the normal PS4&5, Xbox one, Astro C40, Scuff, and even nycon controller. This blows them out of the water with the customizability and quality. I’ve seen reviews saying there’s stick drift after a while (I’ve had it for about a month so I cant speak on that) but I highly HIGHLY suggest this controller to anyone who’s serious about gaming.

Make sure you buy Best buy's $60 2-year warranty on this. You're going to be able to use it. I'm on my third one now. You have to buy a new warranty every time you trade it in for issues (stick drift on all of them. Right bumper stopped working on one of them. A button got so mushy you couldn't even feel when you were pressing it on two of them). But only having to pay the warranty cost after the initial purchase has been good. It's worth the $60/yr since I would have been wearing out a normal controller every year anyway. The Microsoft should really be ashamed of themselves for using plastic underneath of the joysticks on their elite controllers.

    Most Comfortable Controller You’ll Find

Most comfortable and customizable controller I have ever used. I bought this on sale for $130, and don’t feel that I overspent for what it is. I probably would not purchase at full price, as there are better options in that price point. I’m using on a PC, and it takes a bit of customization to get it right. But there is absolutely no lag when paired via Bluetooth.

One of the most comfortable controllers I’ve used in a very long time. I’m usually not a fan of grips on the controller but it really feels nice and another plus would be the battery life I rarely have to recharge my controller
