These controllers are more durable and last longer then regular controller. The buttons won’t get stuck and have a longer working controller

Had a Series 1 Elite. Luckily, bought the Best Buy replacement package based on recommendation of the employee ringing me up. Broke in less than 1 year. Returned to Best Buy and again was highly recommended to take the money instead of a replacement as Microsoft hadn’t made the units any more reliable. Went several years with just a standard controller but always missed the upgrades the Elite offered. Upgraded to an Series X console on February 5 and decided after reading reviews on the Elite 2, Microsoft seemed to have developed a reliable version of an Elite controller. Today, June 23rd, roughly 120 days from purchase, the left thumb stick made an awful sound and now is stuck. It does not return to its “neutral” position when left go. You can feel it is rubbing on something or the spring broke. It is completely unusable. Riddle me this…Microsoft has $50-$60 standard controllers that I still have and use for all my consoles…360 Elite console, Xbox One console, Xbox One S console, Xbox One X console. I’ve dropped them, thrown them, spilled food or drink on them, covered them in the hand gunk from heavy use and they ALL still work pretty much flawlessly after what a decade in some cases? But Microsoft wants just under $200 for a controller that can’t last more than 120 days??? How is that even possible? Save yourself the hassle, if you buy the replacement policy is a MUST! It WILL break!

Quality feels better than the original. Had the 1 for 2 years before stick drift and hopefully the 2 will go just as long.

Great controller, the last one i had had stick drift issues after less than a year but it if far better than the stabdard xbox controller

Walked into best buy returning an item that I bought and decided to look around and I knew exactly what I wanted went to the Xbox section saw the core white was in stock and luckily I was able to purchase the last one at the time and went straight back home with and I honestly love it

Great controller. Very sturdy design. Came with a charging stand and extra sticks. Just in case you happen to lose one.

These "elite" controllers feel substantial, but still suffer from the same "drift" issues as the regularly priced ones. This is our third elite controller. I like the non-T-bar directional pad because it feels more versatile. However, I'm sure we will be purchasing another one soon when this one, like all the others, develops drift.

I will only buy my controllers from Best Buy utilizing the Geek Squad 2-year warranty, because they will not last that long anyways. This is my third Elite Controller. The others failed due to irreversible stick-drift. For such an uber expensive item, I wish they would address critical failures like stick-drift and button sticking. If not for that, I’d give it 5 stars.

Beautiful hardware design honestly. The best controller ever, the input and feeling is amazing. So much thought in it, easy to tell.

I love the feel of the Elite 2 controller but just like all controllers, they break. I recommend getting a warranty.
