Great, with little problems
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the customization. Only downside I have is sometimes the left thumb stick won’t click in fully when held forward for games like COD or a game that requires left thumb stick input for sprinting. Battery life is phenomenal, love the charging case. Overall, great controller to have.

Incredible controller but not cheap
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good controller. A little pricey though. The feel of the device in hand is great and very different from the standard controller. And there are so many configuration options it seems overwhelming.

Definitely worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller definitely worth its price. Great for racing games and also FPS games. The ability to map the buttons and having different levels of trigger response makes a huge difference. The 4 extra paddles in the back are great to have shortcuts with certain games.

DIY Project
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Girl, I love the controller but it has the same unfortunate problem in the last Elite Controller. I will give the first released Elite Controller props as the pealing didn’t start until 4 years into having it with HEAVY use. (Black ops 3 and 4 bb). On the second series, the rubber started to peel in a much shorter time than the first series. I’d say within 6 months to a year. Something new for me was the RB button would sometimes not read my presses during in game or a single press in a game menu would skip over multiple options versus just moving over one. It’s sad because I know these things can be fixed by the good ol’ DIY and I don’t mind taking these things apart, but at this point, they should just have parts readily available for the user to replace. Make the controller customizable from the jump to lessen the pain of having to find reliable parts or sending the controller back to probably just get a refurbished one back. Idk… Besides that, it’s really pretty and I do love the updated options that come on this model. I do see the love and hope to see these issues fixed in the future.

Expensive but good
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Series 2 Xbox controller is exactly what it says it is: elite. The full package comes with a case that has charging capabilities built into it, storage for the paddles that can go on the bottom of the controller, and storage for the optional sticks. The controller is fully customizable using the Xbox app, and gives you the ability to configure multiple profiles. You can switch between the profiles directly on the controller giving you the option to quickly change layouts when testing things out or switching to other games. The controller works well with Windows 11, which is one of the reason I got it. The overall weight and premium feel of the controller are both really nice. I still think the A-B-X-Y buttons feel kinda sticky and cheap like they do on the base controller. Rechargeable batteries are integrated with the controller. The paddles for the underside of the controller and different stick options allow you to customize the feel and functionality of the controller. The controller is pretty expensive, but also on par with other premium controllers available. I’d you want a premium experience, integrated rechargeable batteries, customizable gaming experience, and don’t mind shelling out almost $200 (after tax), then go for it. Otherwise, you could simply get the Elite 2 Core Controller for around $120 and add the case and extra parts in the future if you are wanting them.

Great controller… but
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay first things first, this controller is great. I’ve used SCUF in the past, and they always seemed to have a defect pretty early on in their life cycle.. Dealing with their customer service was always a hassle. These controllers typically last me a couple years, the main thing that seems to go out on them periodically is the Right and Left bumpers for whatever reason.. They still work technically, but seem to double click after awhile. Only game it’s really an issue in is Fortnite when switching weapons.. Otherwise I love the grip and the battery has a pretty decent longevity between charges. Definitely recommend picking up the 2 years GSP with this one. Your future self will thank you!

Great Controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller overall. Comfortable in my hands and the additional buttons are a game changer. My last one was one of the white variants that doesn’t come with the accessories. That controller developed stick drift within a year when I’ve never had that problem with the all back controller. Maybe I got a defective item or maybe the white controllers use a different part. Anyway these usually last a couple years before I return them under warranty.

A Game Changer for Sore Hands
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a gamer who suffers from sore hands, I've been on the lookout for a controller that could help alleviate my discomfort while still providing the high level of performance I need for my favorite games, Fortnite and Call of Duty. Enter the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller. I purchased this controller from Best Buy, and I must say that it's been a game-changer. Here's a detailed review of my experience with this controller, covering everything from unboxing to gameplay. Unboxing: The Microsoft Elite Series 2 controller comes in a sleek, premium black box, with a clear image of the controller on the front. Upon opening the box, I was greeted with a high-quality carrying case, which houses the controller and its various accessories. The case is a nice touch, making it easy to transport the controller and keep everything organized. Inside the case, I found the controller itself, a USB-C charging cable, a charging dock, and a variety of interchangeable thumbsticks, D-pads, and paddle attachments. The range of customization options was immediately impressive, and I couldn't wait to try them out. Pros: Customizable Design: One of the standout features of the Elite Series 2 controller is its customizable design. The interchangeable thumbsticks, D-pads, and paddles allowed me to create a personalized controller setup that significantly reduced my hand strain during gameplay. The adjustable-tension thumbsticks are particularly helpful, enabling me to fine-tune the resistance for improved control. Build Quality: The controller feels sturdy and well-built, with a nice weight to it. The rubberized grips provide a comfortable, non-slip surface that makes it easy to maintain a firm grasp during intense gaming sessions. Wireless Performance: The wireless connectivity is excellent, with virtually no input lag. This is essential for fast-paced games like Fortnite and Call of Duty, where split-second decisions can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Battery Life: The controller's battery life is outstanding, lasting up to 40 hours on a single charge. The included charging dock makes it easy to keep the controller charged and ready for action. Cons: Price: The main downside of the Elite Series 2 controller is its relatively high price point. However, considering the quality, performance, and customization options, I believe it's a worthwhile investment for gamers who struggle with hand discomfort. Learning Curve: The level of customization may be overwhelming for some users, and it took me a bit of time to find the perfect setup for my preferences. However, once I did, it was well worth the effort. Gameplay: Using the Elite Series 2 controller has significantly improved my gameplay experience in Fortnite and Call of Duty. The customizable design has not only helped to alleviate my hand soreness, but has also improved my overall performance. The hair-trigger locks, for instance, have enabled quicker response times, and the rear paddles have allowed me to execute more complex moves with ease. Conclusion: Overall, the Microsoft Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller has been a fantastic purchase. The high-quality build, customizable design, and exceptional performance have not only made gaming more comfortable for my sore hands, but have also taken my gameplay to new heights. Despite the relatively high price, I believe the controller is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve their gaming experience and alleviate hand discomfort.

Expensive but better than stock
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had the original Elite v1 since it came out. Ive owned multiple XBox's of every generation and have a dozen controllers in my house. I much prefer the Elite controller over all other standard controllers. It just feels better. Ive not owned other brands except a Razer from back in the day but I also prefer the standard Xbox layout/size. Several years and several thousands of hours later, the rubber grip panels on my original elite popped off. The glue failed. I found replacements for cheap and I continue to use it. Its not 100% the same but its close enough. I game on Xbox and PC and got tired of using a non-elite controller on one or the other depending on the game I was playing (I re-pair often). Enter the Elite 2. So, the 2 has bluetooth whereas the original 1 did not. I have the wireless dongle so thats not a feature for me but, it would allow you to use 1 controller for both PC and XBox. Ive owned several BT Xbox controllers and prefer to use the wireless dongle on PC. An improvement over the 1 is there is no longer a groove in the plastic under the middle fingers. Seems odd to mention but hours of playing, the 1 would give me irritation on top of both middle fingers where the plastic joins. This is gone on the 2. Plus. Adjustability on the 2 is also improved. You can adjust the tension of the sticks. I have no desire to do so as it feels like the typical XBox controller Ive been using for like 20 years or whatever. There are now 3 levels of adjustment for trigger travel as well. I mentioned earlier about the 1 causing irritation on top of the middle fingers. The new trigger travel adjusters have moved ever so slightly so now, I feel them on the top of my middle finger tips all the time. The adjusters feel a bit larger as well. They are rounded and not painful. No irritation. I just notice them. On the 1, they were smaller, and barely there on the pads of my middle finger tips depending on the game I played. I dont use the back triggers and removed them from both the 1 and the 2 day 1. I cant comment on the difference if any. I dont use them. The 1 had a replaceable battery like a standard controller but required a micro USB cable just like every other Xbox controller since inception. The 2 is not easily replaceable and requires cracking it open. It does come with a dock. I wont use it personally as it has USB C and thats my preference when it needs charged. I dont doubt the battery will last for years but, Id prefer a user replaceable battery over an included dock. My preference. Lastly, the 1 had a more rubberized grippy feel. After a few years, they did fail. The 2 is more plastic feeling. Its hard to describe but the 1 didnt have a texture on the top of the controller whereas the 2 does which is the part that kind of makes it feel less grippy. Both are plasticy and rubbery / grippy but the 2 is just, well, feels less grippy to me. I dont feel like its going to fall out of my hands but its a different feel than the 1. Its like a new gen Series X/S controller kind of in the texture department but with some (10%?) rubberized feel. Its difficult to explain. I dont consider it a Pro or a Con its just, different. All in all, I much prefer the Elite controllers over the standard Xbox controllers. They just feel better in hand to me. I have no experience with Scuf. I dont use the back / underside triggers. Id prefer a replaceable battery over a dock. All that said, the 1 last me a very long time and thats why I bought the 2. No regrets.

Expensive, but I love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll start by saying I paid for it with credit card rewards- so I didn’t have to pay any extra for it. While it’s a bit pricey, I do love it and am glad I got it. It’s very comfortable, the metal pieces are really nice and it just feels better than a regular controller. I dropped it once from maybe two feet up, some of the metal pieces popped out but they popped right back in because they’re magnetic, which is actually really cool. No issues with stick drift (yet) after a few months of use. Love it so far.

Good for what I paid for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For what u paid for (used) it’s great! Unfortunately I was expecting to come in its original box but didn’t, which it’s still ok. It came with everything, the controller was spotless and scratch less too! But, as I expected for a used item, the left trigger had some registering problems on its lowest setting, besides that the rest of the controller works perfectly.

Unleash Your Gaming Potential with the Series 2
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller is a game-changer when it comes to gaming peripherals. As an avid gamer, I've had the pleasure of using various controllers over the years, but this one stands out from the crowd. It's clear that Microsoft has put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into designing a controller that truly enhances the gaming experience. First and foremost, the build quality of the Elite Series 2 Controller is exceptional. It feels sturdy and well-crafted in your hands, providing a premium feel that surpasses most other controllers on the market. The combination of the textured grip and the adjustable tension on the analog sticks adds a level of precision and control that is simply unmatched. Whether you're engaging in intense first-person shooter battles or executing complex maneuvers in a racing game, the controller responds with remarkable accuracy. One of the standout features of the Elite Series 2 is the customizable buttons and paddles. The controller comes with a set of interchangeable components, allowing you to tailor the layout to your preferences. The addition of four paddles on the back is a game-changer, providing easy access to additional inputs without needing to remove your thumbs from the analog sticks. With the Xbox Accessories app, you can remap buttons, adjust trigger sensitivity, and save different profiles for various games or playstyles. This level of customization is a boon for competitive gamers and those seeking optimal control in every gaming scenario. Battery life is another area where the Elite Series 2 excels. The built-in rechargeable battery offers an impressive 40 hours of gameplay on a single charge, which is more than enough for even the most extended gaming sessions. Additionally, the controller comes with a charging dock, making it incredibly convenient to keep your controller charged and ready to go at all times. The controller also boasts Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for seamless pairing with both Xbox consoles and Windows 10 PCs. The low-latency connection ensures a lag-free gaming experience, which is crucial for competitive gaming or when playing fast-paced action games. While the Elite Series 2 Controller undoubtedly delivers an exceptional gaming experience, it does come with a premium price tag. However, considering the build quality, customization options, and overall performance, I believe the investment is well worth it for serious gamers who want the best controller on the market. In conclusion, the Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller sets a new standard for gaming controllers. It combines excellent build quality, customization options, and outstanding performance to provide a truly immersive gaming experience. If you're a dedicated gamer who values precision and control, this controller is a must-have addition to your gaming setup.
