Great Controller for PC Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was using a PS4 controller wired to laptop. Found this “PRO” controller and knew I needed to give it a try. Hated the wire and wanted back buttons. This is a excellent controller which feels and looks great. User configurability is great. The buttons and sticks that can be changed out are super easy to do. Battery life is outstanding. I use it mainly for travel and the protective case isn’t overly huge. Only had it for a short period so can’t comment on longevity and problems others have had with buttons and sticks going bad. Can’t say one bad thing so far about this controller. I price matched and paid $139.99. Standard Microsoft warranty now 1 year suggest paying an extra $20 by calling Microsoft Xbox tech support to extend warranty for a total of 3 years. I believe you have 45 days or so after purchase to add this extended coverage. Also recommend using the Microsoft wireless adapter ($25 extra) instead of the Bluetooth connection. Heard you can have connection issues using standard Bluetooth. All in all great controller upgrade and at the moment would recommend.

Great Xbox controller
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the design. Ended up buying this one as my original Xbox elite controller was getting old although nothing wrong with it the new controller is great like that the battery is internal however curious on how long the recharge ability will be in the coming years as opposed to swappable batteries

Great controller get a warranty.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this controller. It looks and feels like a quality piece of kit. Sadly as good as it is I find it breaks often. Definitely recommend getting a replacement warranty on this controller. I expect a controller to fail eventually but this thing always has a failure within a year. I’m by no means hard on my controller either I in fact take great care of my stuff. For nearly $200 I’d like this thing to not have a back button that fails to register after 6 months of use. I still rate it high because it is arguably one of the best controllers ever made but it seems they cheaped out on some components.

This could be the greatest Microsoft Controller
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So let's address the elite series 2 controller. It does what it should... when there's not issues. It feels great and heck even wanted me to change the thumb sticks. Never thought I'd do that & can see why the underside paddles are great to use. Those things are what make this controller THE CONTROLLER! (3 stars). HOWEVER there SHOULD BE A RECALL! brand new out of the box the A button has a dead zone, if pushed in a way it becomes obvious. I did the swab of a normal controller & noticed at any pushed angle of the button it stilled worked. Not with the series 2 controller though. If I didn't want to blow $200 I'd rip it apart to fix it myself. But it's almost as if the button doesn't line up with the logic board inside the controller when pushed at some angles. Which should never happen, should still work like the cheaper controllers. That's a major failure on Microsoft's part. If it was not for that everything else worked fine, no issues. The joy sticks are cool you can swab out sticks & tune the stiffness or loosen them with provided key. Switch d-pads, etc. You can read the specs. The other picky thing which I can see past is the top grips are a little too much, I personally started getting sweaty palms after one round in a shooter and then the controller almost has this slight sticky feel when warm from just holding it. But it quickly goes away if you air it out between rounds. Wasn't enough to not keep the controller more so than the A button not working. Would love to give this a 5 stars for the product. if it had no known issues, this would be the greatest controller. @ $180 Microsoft your products shouldn't have issues right out from the box. I gave this 3 because it is worth tuning and resolving the small issues for an amazing product that it could be. Now I'm keeping mine, unless it's a total lost after services fail to resolve the issues for me. I've got until May 15th or 18th (got it mailed). Bought this on the 15th from Best Buy, can return & still get the money back. We're talking a defect on Microsoft's behalf not Best Buy. I've got options in services via geek squad or Microsoft's 90 day warranty. Geek squad protection is worth getting on this. Because let's say there wasn't issues and after a year the button and stick got worn out from use. Geek squad will fix or replace the controller. so $40 to keep that $180 feel or in this mess save from owning another $180. GET the 2 year coverage. I normally don't but I knew about the issues other people where having & planned for it. Other than that Best Buy was a total win this time. During this COVID-19 mess they still got my package in the two day window. Great job BB & postal services. I waited until getting my product in the mail before getting the geek squad protection. Only had to make a simple phone call and give my order # and boom the protection was added on, no hassle. Go to any Best Buy for repairs or services. Great! Will be needing it, as it looks. The employees I talked to via the phone or live chat on site. Informative and helpful & knew about the bugs on the controllers, lol must be getting returns on them. I'd give Best buy a solid 5 stars in services. Which impressed me normally it's about eh, they tried. Conclusion: The controller isn't a magical device that makes you a greater gamer but is a NICE controller to own... when it's working that is. That's what's so annoying you want it to be the greatest controller which hopefully Microsoft does too. If you are wanting to buy this WAIT. Allow time for Microsoft to hopefully fix these problems before you buy one and get stuck seeking help to have it fixed yourself. If you manage to get one now, there is limited stock. Get the 2 year coverage, so your not out $200 or more in service repairs & reshipping costs. Hopefully Microsoft comes through and replacement controllers come out. Other than that return them don't waste the money. Like I said I'm only giving it until my return window period.

Solid FPS wireless controller
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The customization is really nice with the additional 4 back buttons. Thumb stick selection is nice, but a tall stick with a fat head would be better for FPS games for accuracy. Build quality seems sold, and weight feels premium. Wish it came with a wireless dongle. Picked up one up which adds to the total cost, and have only connection 1 drop so far. The D pad sucks. It is not responsive for fast paced games that use this like 2D platformers. I switch to a PS4 controller to play them. I use this for COD Warzone & picked up the warranty as reviews of it failing seem a little too frequent, and COD is harsh on controllers. I prefer the shspe & size of the PS4 & PS5 controllers a lot more, but the lack the buttons on the back. Removing those from the back is easy if you only need 2, or have larger hands and bump the wrong ones too much. It's definitely a med to large hands controller. Software works, and set up is easy

Awesome.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really nice controller. I love the dark paddles, d-pad, and triggers. All buttons feel nice and the home button is “clicky”. It has a good weight to it and comes with a braided cable and cloth carrying case. The charging base that’s included isn’t quite heavy enough, so picking up the controller while it’s on the stand occasionally results in the base hanging onto the controller. But since the charger fits into the bottom of the fabric case that’s included, I plan to charge it inside the case instead of on a table. It has a nifty little opening in the back for the USB-C cable to pass through. I was a little bummed to see that only one convex (domed) joystick was included in the extras. I don’t like the look of the controller with two different joysticks and prefer domed joysticks over the standard Xbox ones. Not a big deal, but I am already searching for a second one. As a new owner of both this and the original elite controller, I highly recommend both. Once you feel the smooth joystick movement of the the elite controller, you won’t go back to playing with the standard ones. I waited too long to purchase my last one.

Best controller you can buy hands down!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to purchase this a Couple weeks ago , I wasn’t sure if it was going to be worth it or not so I was nervous to spend the money at first but I am so glad that I did! Controller feels amazing in your hands, the customization options on it are basically unlimited not only does it come with the interchangeable thumb sticks and paddles and the hair lock triggers you can fine tune Each individual button on the controller through the Xbox Accessories app so you can make any button do whatever you want , if you want to be able to make the A button do B button functions on a game then you can do it , its almost overwhelming how many things you can customize on the app to make the controller completely compliment your playing style. The controller comes with a really nice case. It comes with a usbc charging cord so you can charge it by plugging it into your Xbox or pc or you can use a wall adapter to plug the usbc into. On top of that it comes with a charging dock that the controller magnetically connects to and they even put a little rubber flat on the back of the case for the usbc cord to plug into the charging dock so you can charger the controller while you have it inside the case. I mainly play first person shooters online and being able to customize the controller how I want has made a huge difference in my gameplay and if you’re on the fence about buying this control then do it!

Great product for many reasons, but has issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller looks great, and feels great. Really nice premium product at a premium price from a fit and finish standpoint, but it seems to have quality issues. Many reviews have reported problems in many areas, and I found some of these problems right out of the box in the first unit that I bought. One of my paddle buttons was almost none responsive it only worked about 20% of the time. I had Bluetooth connectivity issues where I would randomly drop connection mid game, and this happened daily The sticks have a lot of looseness in them, but I think that may actually be apart of the design. However it is not great for performance Returned it and got a new one, and this one seems to be good. The sticks still have a lot of dead one in them , and it does drop Bluetooth signal just like the first one I had sometimes, but I’m starting to think this might be a total design flaw. Over all the design and build quality is great it looks and feels really good. But the issues with many different features is a problem. A premium product should not have these issues straight from the factory

Better than stock, not better than razer v3 pro
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mushy face buttons, mushy trigger even with trigger stop. Quality build, solid feel but razer v3 pro and even the wires tournament edition are leagues above if you want mouse click, instant response on all triggers.

AMAZING controller, but 3 negatives
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I LOVE this controller, but I have three comments on it, one major: 1) Immediately upon purchasing it, the A button started sticking. I looked up the issue and this was somewhat common, but people said that it got better with wear over time. This was the case for me as well, so no more issues here 2) (the major one) At the shortest trigger pull setting, the right trigger squeaks SO LOUDLY, that others in the same party can often times hear it over my mic. It’s extremely annoying and I want to know if there is a way to fix this. 3) Not a huge deal, but the controller has an unnoticeable offset in the grips. This is only apparent when set on a flat surface. The controller will rock maybe 0.3-1.0mm. This may be the cause of that trigger squeak, though that is just a theory. These three negative comments aside, this controller is EXCELLENT. The grips are actually extremely durable and the surface stays pretty clean, with no real marring or scratches. Overall, I love this controller.
