Expensive but fun addition to my console.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I noticed was the heft of the controller. This thing is rock solid. I will say, playing with all four paddles didn’t let me get as good a grip as I wanted, so I only play with the top two (I have large hands and the lower ones got in the way), but I enjoy the advantage of being able to keep my thumb planted on the right stick. There is slight drift in the right stick out of the box and adjusting the stick tension did not fix it. That being said, it is so slight it’s so far only registered when looking at the map in Warzone. It otherwise has not affected my play. The short-throw trigger setting is great for any repeated with the trigger motion (e.g., semi-auto shooting). The paddles let me crouch and jump while aiming in CoD like the PC players, replace my stick presses for added finesse in NHL, and make some fun paddle shifters in Forza. Definitely a fun addition to my One X and happy to know it is forward compatible for the transition to the Series X. If you have the money to burn, it’s a fun addition, but not a necessity.

Good premium quality control with some QC issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Xbox controller, and I must say it offers exceptional build quality and premium materials. The controller feels robust and comfortable in hand, and the adjustable trigger settings enhance the gaming experience. The included case is a nice touch, keeping it protected on the go. However, my experience hasn't been flawless. I've had to return it a few times due to joystick drifting issues, which is quite frustrating. Additionally, the controller comes with a premium price tag, which may be a deterrent for some buyers. In summary, the Xbox controller boasts impressive build quality, materials, and design, but the recurring joystick drifting and the high cost make it a mixed investment.

Best xbox controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best premium xbox controller without the Hall effect joysticks. The materials that dampened the plastic cheap feel. Iconic xbox controller hand position. Not worth the regular price. Wait for a sale or open box.

Used not open box!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These open box elite controllers are used. People use them for months then bring them back. Look at the buttons and other rubber parts you can se how used they are . Best Buy is misleading. Open box controllers don’t leave the store and havnt been played with games . But a new 1 they are awesome.

Great Controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From my grandson - I love the elite series 2 controller! The case it comes with works really well and is very high quality and protective. It's very convenient that I can charge it in the case. The charger is very long to and can be used while playing. The buttons and customizations are very cool too. It adds a different feel to gaming when using the extra buttons and customizations. 10 out of 10 controller!

Excellent revision
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had and still use the original Elite controller (that one is now used on my desktop). This controller lives up to the reputation of the original and improves it. It's lighter yet more substantial when you are holding it. It has excellent battery life, and the feel of all the keys are mostly solid. I love the new size of the back paddles. Before I was always hitting them when I sat the controller down (which is a pretty big deal when watching Netflix or OneGuide video content). This one, I haven't registered a key press at all when I sit the controller down. Also, I love the charging stand. I keep the stand in my case and just charge when I'm not using it for a day or so. The case is a well designed accessory. +5 stars What I don't like, the built in batteries. I fear that eventually burn in memory will present as an issues, and I won't be able to replace the batteries -- Minus .5 stars. I also think this controller is priced too high -- Minus .5 stars. Other thoughts -- some have said the build quality is still an issue, particularly from units bought from BestBuy. I can say, I haven't had a single issue with build quality.

The paddles are a game changer! And get GSP
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing controller! The custom button remapping and rear button paddles are worth it alone if you like playing games with a controller on PC, an Xbox One or Series X/S. I map most game's crouch and jump buttons to the right paddles so my thumb doesn't need to leave the thumbstick and stop aiming to perform those actions. Just be wary of any paddle mappings that are buttons that can delete characters like the X button in Destiny 2. I've heard one too many stories of people setting their Elite on their lap or on some junk on a coffee table and a paddle was pressed in for the "delete character" command, and they accidentally pressed the confirm paddle button when picking up the controller. Aside from that, the trigger stops are nice to give your index fingers a bit of a rest for repetitive trigger pulls, and with custom remapping, you can tweak your button layout in most games to emulate the layout of your favorite games. I've heard stories of some people's controllers wearing down bumper buttons faster than others, but so far, my first Elite series 2 lasted almost 2 years before the bumper wore down and I needed to replace it. Far better than the usual 6-9 months of the Elite series 1. The GSP protection is a livesaver, though not as cheap of a plan when they were first released. The 2-year warranty is currently $60, which is the cost of a normal controller to replace what would be this luxury $180 controller. I really hope we see a day where custom remapping and horizontally aligned back paddles become the norm and not a luxury. But for the time being, this is my favorite controller of all time.

Best controller on the market
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Microsoft Elite Series 2 Controller is hands down the best controller I’ve ever used. The build quality is solid, the adjustable thumbsticks and trigger stops make a real difference, and the paddles on the back are a game-changer. The battery life is great, and it just feels premium in every way. It’s not cheap, but if you game a lot, it’s 100% worth it. I love it.

Great controller takes alot of normal gaming abuse
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the controller. I have had everything except the scuff controller. I am a heavy gamer and use the controller for games like Fortnite, destiny and gta5. The response is snappy and I can change out the joysticks at any time depending on what game I play. The p1-p4 buttons on the back are comfortable and even if you drop it the don't fall off. The settings for the controller on the Xbox are simple for anyone to understand and yet as complicated as you want it. You can adjust the curve set presets for different games and many or other people. I only gave it 4 stars because the click on the left joystick just went out on me. I have been gaming for 5 months between me and my 3 kids for probably 5 hours give or take and it held up better then any other controller I owned. It is covered under warranty so I am getting it fixed but I would definitely and I am going to buy another.

Love this controller
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this controller on a whim (I had a rewards certificate that was going to expire). I was originally a Playstation controller person stretching back to my PS2 as a kid, but I'm in love with the elite. The extra weight of the controller was a bit weird at first but now other controllers seem like a cheap toy in comparison. This is high quality and can take a beating as it travels with me. One word of caution: Use the included case if you're traveling with it. Because the D-pad and analog sticks are hot-swappable that means they're also removable. The analog sticks especially can and WILL fall off if you just throw this in a backpack or something. It comes with a really nice case, so just use that. I don't like the paddle buttons in the back but that's okay because you can take them off. Very happy with this purchase and I'll get another one or an Elite 3 when the time comes to replace it.

Make sure you ask before you buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product but when you buy a used item they do have drift and the store can’t fix it beside replace the controllers, over and over until maybe you get a controller with a little or just a tad bit where it is unnoticeable drift on the controller

Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller: A Gamer’s Dream
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller is legit. It’s super comfy, feels sturdy, and the customizable paddles and sticks are perfect for any game. The button mapping a snap, and the battery life is solid. Grips and trigger locks add nice control. A must-have for gamers who want to level up!

A button not registering
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought 2 of these controllers within 4 days of each other, both of them from Gamestop brand new out of the box. Unfortunately both of them were plagued with the same problem. The A button would not register 100% of the time as I discovered while playing Halo. My character would not accurately jump. I went into the controller settings on the dashboard of the Xbox to watch the button feedback while the buttons are being registered. The A button would appear when pressed and disappear while also pressed. All of the other buttons would remain registered and appear on the screen. The A button was the only issue I had with both of these controllers. I'm hoping I was just unlucky and purchased a bad batch. Its a very comfortable controller.

Elite 2 is a Game Changer, Advantage BACK BUTTONS!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, let me just say that I hesitated for years on getting this controller because of the cost and also because I'm not very big on many controller based games on PC... However, recently I purchased Star Wars Squadrons on PC and let me tell you that this controller is a GAME CHANGER for that game and I'm sure I will find many more games that I will benefit greatly in... For starters, the build quality is fantastic, this feels like a premium controller, it makes my Xbox One controller feel like a cheap toy in comparison. The customization is great, I like playing with the Xbox 360 tension on the sticks, and it's great to have 3 different options to choose from. The BIGGEST selling point for me and many of you of course is the BACK BUTTONS, and let me tell you that these buttons are giving me a HUGE ADVANTAGE in Star Wars Squadrons. Being able to keep both my thumbs on both the thumb sticks at ALL TIMES while toggling my power systems as desired(using the back buttons) allows me to continue to track targets and/or escape enemies without losing control of my ship. It's just a huge advantage being able to multitask without having to reach over the controller to press other buttons. MY KDR nearly doubled overnight after I got used to the controller and now I regret going so long with this controller. Another thing is I think Microsoft totally nailed the configuration of the back buttons, they're not too big or not too small, just perfect. I even spent the extra money on the GeekSquad Protection to cover my controller for a few extra years. If you feel you will benefit from the back buttons in whatever it is you're currently playing, stop reading this review and purchase now or when you see a sale on this thing.
