Best Buy Total Tech. Let’s go!

great pc controller
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.use this with my gaming PC over basic xbox wireless controller. came from console so prefer this over mouse and keyboard input. no problems with this randomly disconnecting like the basic xbox controller did. and the build quality (rubber grips, sticks, triggers) just feel so good in the hand. color might be only gripe cuz it has already got pretty dirty so might swap for a different color.

Potluck refurb.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the heavier remote. Wish you could map out the extra buttons for more potential controls like mapping a PC keyboard. Previous owner clearly was hard on their equipment on even refurbished value was 3/5, maybe.

Xbox Elite Controller
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always been a fan of these controllers. Love that you can tighten down the sticks, change how far you need to press the triggers, and also save 3 different settings for games.

Great controller for Hardcore Gamer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great controller! Obviously, the high price makes it worthwhile only if you are a lifelong gamer but, “ You get what you pay for” This controller has a heavier feel, there are apps to control fine adjustments and everything works that much better. Make sure to purchase the protection plan because even though this is a high quality controller, things break and this will also. One difference between this and the series 1 controller is that this one has a rechargeable battery built in, I don’t know about the battery life so far but this could be a good or bad thing. We shall see. This is a great controller nonetheless

Great Controller
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not use it enough to justify buying it but it is a great controller. Customizing the length of pull on the triggers is nice and the paddles on the back are great as well. Comes with a lot of ways to adjust the controller to fit your hand the way you want it. Bottom 2 paddles get in the way of my hands sometimes so I do not use those for the most part.

An engineering masterpiece for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've wanted an Elite controller for quite some time and when Microsoft announced this one, I was even further tempted. I decided to wait for a bit to see how well it reviewed before I decided to buy it if I was going to at all. I could write a very long and in depth review of this controller but I'll try to keep it brief. The very first time you grab this controller you know without a doubt that it's an extremely well-built device. Some players might not prefer this controller due to its weight because it's pretty heavy compared to most. I don't mind this personally, I prefer the weight. The variety of options on offer are great. There are several bits and pieces included allowing a player to situated the controller as desired and quickly make the swaps when changing games. The triggers have three positions and have haptic feedback. This is great when playing something like Forza because you can feel the resistance from the car when accelerating or braking. The back paddles can be remapped to any of the buttons on the controller and quickly swapped out or removed entirely. At any rate, most of these features are in the description but are some of my favorite aspects. I love the included case and charging dock, even more so since you can charge it while it's in the case. USB-C is greatly appreciated and should be the gold standard to which all devices are engineered now. The charging cable is long and very well made. The entire package is simply amazing. I purchased this to use with my gaming PC (do not currently own XBox One) and it's been a greatly welcomed addition. This leads me to the only potential sticking point for some. In order to remap the buttons, you need the XBox Accessories app for Windows 10. The app nice because it allows you to program up to three profiles for different button mappings that can be switched on the fly via the button in the center of the controller. However, as of the time I'm writing this, it doesn't allow for programming button combinations or macros. I've read that this will be later added to the app via a software update. Additionally, you can connect the controller via Bluetooth but unless you use the cable or the Xbox Wireless adapter, the app cannot detect the controller and you can't use the built-in headphone jack. This is pretty minor point since many will use the cable, may not use the headphone jack, or (like me) will purchase the wireless adapter. Buying the wireless adapter was an easy decision for me since it also allows for multiple controllers to be connected to the same PC, in addition to detecting the controller in the app and use of the headphone jack. So, yea, it's expensive, but uncompromisingly so. If the price point works for your budget and you're on the fence, rest assured you're going to get your money's worth should you decide to buy it.

Posted .Hey there,
Thank you for sharing your in-depth experience with your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. We're thrilled that you consider it to be an engineering masterpiece and that you're enjoying its many customization features. While it does support Bluetooth, investing in a Xbox wireless adapter is an excellent suggestion to take advantage of all its features on Windows 10 PC. We hope you continue to have a lot of fun with your Elite 2.
Happy gaming,

Feels Great, Poor build quality.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game, a lot (Mainly FPS). I use this controller sometimes as much as 30 hours a week, and while that is a lot of wear and tear on a controller, I assumed that the high price tag as well as the name "Elite" meant that this controller would be up to the task. I was unfortunately wrong. While the controller feels great in the hands and the added control with the trigger stops, the software stick programming, and the paddles is an awesome addition Microsoft dropped the ball with this product. My number one gripe is that the controller is already experiencing the dreaded stick drift (it actually started about 4 months ago but i put up with it until now) also the RB and LB buttons refuse to work when pushed about 70% of the time which has lost me quite a few gun fights. Luckily for me i bought the replacement plan through best buy and I'm hoping that I just got a bad controller. I guess only time will tell -- I'll make sure to make an update if that controller is better/worse.

Great with flaws
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having this controller for a year now, I've decided to write a review. The customization of this controller is awesome. I love the way I have been able to tailor it to my play style. The only issue I've been having for the past few months is that my LB and RB buttons are starting to stick. I've always taken care of my controller, and store it in it's case whenever not in use. Disappointed in the longevity for the price I paid.

Posted .Hey there,
We're glad that your Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 has enhanced your gaming experience, but sorry that there's an issue with the bumper buttons. The limited manufacturer's warranty from Microsoft for this product has been extended to one year. If you are still within the warranty period, we recommend contacting Xbox Support for assistance here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/wireless-controller-solution

Great controller, even without the extras
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the controller doesn’t come with the paddles or all the other fancy things the full elite controller kit comes with. But regardless, the controller is still and upgrade over the standard Xbox gamepad. With its insanely good battery life (I charge mine maybe once a month) and the ability to adjust the stick tensions, I think this is worth it for every Xbox user
